Should change the name of the thread to “an idea I had for a kit” so some of us can stop clicking it and being disappointed 😂

Isee now, I hadn’t registered the above post. In the UK, when you play an unorganised game (as kids), one side would take their tops off and you would have skins vs shirts.

When we played no one was taking their top off, you just knew who was on your side.

   The under garments worn under players kit (which for this club is either blue or white) is called "skins", because it is skin tight but has elasticity.

You could only afford Lycra if you were posh in the 80s, people think the fashion was baggy but it was just that the clothes were 2nd or 3rd hand.

One of the kits will be that template, no doubt about that.

 

But if it's the home shirt, for the 1st time in about 20 years, I won't be buying it. We've had some shockers in that time, but I've always cared enough to buy one.

 

This way always my fear whenever someone mentioned "why don't we get someone like Adidas or Nike as our kit supplier?"

 

For a while now, and more so recently, those who don't get bespoke kits just get an Adidas t-shirt with your clubs badge stuck on them.  For the price of 1 or 2 shirts, you could literally buy the same shirt from Adidas and kit out an entire Sunday league 11

Kinda agree. Mad how many clubs had our green keepers kit this season.

Went to club shop today. Staff say they’re being told end of July / early Aug for new kits but not guaranteed. Basically don’t hold your breath 😕

Again though… doesn’t mean they can’t show it off. Just means we can’t buy it

They probably don’t even have the kits to do photoshoots etc. Plus it’s always better for sales to unveil the kits close to the time that they are released.

I think someone said recently (maybe on this thread) that it's sold out on the website, but they were still able to get it in the shop.

Read today England and a few international teams are getting a bit concerned about how late their new shirts for the WC are going to arrive. Effectively their peak buying period is going to be reduced.

Really wonder what the delay is about. Are we ditching Adidas? Surely not just after we moved into the B tier just last year
