I worked at Asda bakery for a bit as a youth and sliced a tiger bloomer for Yakubu

Judging by the size of him I absolutely guarantee he ate it like an apple while walking around the rest of the shop.

Feed the Yak and he will score!

Miss that guy

James Wesolowski and another youth player, possibly Tommy Wright, in clock tower Maccy D’s circa 2005. Think Weso was on crutches after his leg break against Celtic.

Not Leicester player at the time, but washed Dion Dublin’s plate in Pizza Express on King St in 94. Proudest moment of my life. Same year happened to randomly call Nicky Plataneur while trying to sell dodgy insurance. And yes, it has been all downhill from there

I met Youri Tielemans in the Loughborough Park Road Tesco. Twice.

First time, was the Monday after the 4-2 win vs Man Utd and I opened the conversation with "was that a cross or a shot?" lol He said it was a shot of course! Just said he was one of our best midfielders ever and hoped he could stay, then left him to put his shopping in the boot of his Merc.

Then saw him again about a week later on the cereal aisle. Don't think he remembered me (why would he) but I just said something about, on behalf of my Dad and Uncle who have been going since the 1960s and saw all those FA Cup final defeats, thanks for that worldie that won us the cup.

Third time, met him in the fruit & veg aisle shortly after he'd buggered off to Villa on a free transfer.

Smushed five kilos of raspberries in his face, smashed a water melon over his head and threw him bodily out of the door and into the trolley park.

I once saw Dion Dublin hawking Dubes at a stand at Glastonbury off his head from peyote and mezcal. Was trying to thump Mr Brightside on the many surfaces of the Dube but failed spectacularly.

i met him in a pub in london a few years back. seemed a bit annoyed i asked him what he was up to these days and didn't know he was doing homes under the hammer or cash in the attic or whatever the **** it is. he's mastered the media trained polite but no warmth.

Stood at the urinals next to Nicolas Anelka at Manchester Airport.

For Leicester, sat close to Paul Dickov and his family at the restaurant at Skeggy Butlins. A few tables away from Barry Fry, too.

My Father sold his house to Markfield to him.

Said he was down-to-earth and friendly.

Met Heskey in McDonald’s in 1995 and Izzet used to follow me on Twitter. I think it was by mistake but I tried to get him out for a lads night out by inviting him as if we were old friends. My theory being he would think since we were Twitter mates then maybe we go way back and come out of feeling guilty for not remembering me. He didn’t come but he did respond saying he couldn’t make it this time. I reckon he was wondering whether he knew me.
