How do they decide on encroachment?

 

I'm trying to remember who it was, but we had a penalty scored against us not too long ago, where they had a player well inside the box.

Well duh. Not like we played on Thursday as well while Palace had a few extra days off...

If the penalty goes straight in, encroachment doesn't really matter. It's only when that player encroaching plays the ball when it gets rebounded...

The player has to be interfering with play.

 

The incident the other day the penalty went straight in, the encroachment was irrelevant. Soyuncu was encroaching and then went and won the ball.

I’m so Proud of Amartey and the players he’s become. And yet we will likely sign another CB in the summer. He’s made himself a £20m defender and if we get an offer in that region in the summer and he gets  the chance of regular prem football, I’d be so pleased for him.
