I think the penalty call was pretty fair. I thought the foul was soft, Cags did encroach and as he was the one who got the ball away it was probably the right call retaking. All perhaps a bit harsh, but fair.

shouldve had a pen when maddison was pushed. instead they get given a soft pen which brings them back into the game.

I'm not sure but maybe? Not 100% clear on the rules but I'm pretty sure if Soyuncu hadn't been the one to clear the ball it wouldn't have been retaken.

I've felt since Rodgers arrived that he wanted someone more able on the ball in that position, and has tried to change Ndidi's game over time which hasn't worked out, it's a problem and definitely a factor behind our drop in form this season.

Ndidi is good at breaking up the play but doesn’t handle the ball well, he has struggled all season with that. Mendy actually is better at doing what Brendan wants, and should be playing more

Foul throws is a funny one, refs seem to pick the one they're going to do and then ignore the rest.

KDH by far the MOTM again today. Just been excellent. Youri again very poor. I think now he should be dropped as its like playing with 10 men at times. 

 

By the way, does anyone know what KDH was doing infront of the daily stand after his goal? Some kinda celebration perhaps?

The stats make it look a close game but I thought we were well ahead of Palace for a lot of the game. Tielemans did nothing apart from gives away.a penalty.

Stats can sure be deceiving, first half we were well on top they didn’t really play until about 70 onwards and still didn’t look like getting that second.

Well done fellas pretty even game but think you deserved the win overall... Surprised it's taken Dewsbury-Hall so long to come through seems like a decent talent. 

 

Anyway all the best anyway pleased you've stuck with Rodgers rather than doing some daft knee jerk sacking. 

 

Defo one eye on next week from our players, hopefully we can do the job against Chelsea!

haha he gets so much stick from our fans at times, but imo we're a better team with him than without him. Got good energy, good work ethic, scores the odd goal ... I mean obviously he's not a great technical player but we miss him when he doesn't play.

Can see that, decent engine on him to get himself about the pitch and hassle people.

LBH, Palace were poor today, lucky to escape a real beating. Maybe eye on next week but if they put on a show like today they’ll get hammered. Easily the worst away team at KP this season. Score line flattered them.
