BakerLCFC Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 Just done a quick calculatiom and if he had been banned from the start of this current season for 8 months and you just take away his goals and assists, Brentford would be 21pts worse off. Would now be on 32pts instead of 53pts.

Popular Post AKCJ Posted 17 May 2023 Popular Post Posted 17 May 2023 8 months is ****ing lunacy from the FA. No chance one of the FA's darlings gets that. 7
Super_horns Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 (edited) Guess it’s 5 months playing time though and it was 262 charges which he admitted. The big question is why did it take so long to be all sorted ? Edited 17 May 2023 by Super_horns

Lionator Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 Was he gambling on games that he was involved in? If not I think it’s very harsh given the footing that the gambling industry has in sport. Hypocritical even. Ban gambling not gamblers. 3
StonyFox Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 I think 8 months is a bit hypocritical from an organisation that gets so much money from betting companies. 2
Fox92 Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 8 month from now seems pointless considering the season is ending soon. Should be 8 months from the start of next season. 4

Football's relationship with the gambling industry is obscene. Journos like Phillip Auclair and Colin Millar been going big on this for ages, but as we know if there is big money involved, then football just turns a blind eye. 6

jonny_wright Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 I can’t take Coventry and forest being the PL next year, come on Luton! 1
gazzaa2 Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 The season we reached the CL quarter final as PL holders Cov finished 23rd in League One getting 8000 crowds. 1 1
Mr Mister Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 I rather that Luton Town got promoted as they have never played in the Premier League.

They'll probably won't have much to spend, considering they'll be required to spend millions to get their stadium up to PL requirements/standards - should they achieve promotion. bluefox1 Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 Trust that m69 shite getting through, couldn't stand it if that crap go up.
Harrogatefox Posted 17 May 2023 Posted 17 May 2023 The prospect of Cov and Forest being in the PL and us languishing in the Championship is stuff of nightmares. Surely this must motivate the players to pull something out of the bag. Otherwise it’s a death by a thousand cuts!
