Has no one watched us play this season?

It's actually depressing that he is employed and paid for that, in the current climate.

Why didn't we win last night then?

We don't have a new manager, we have 2 average coaches that have been with Brendan for 4 years and the club for longer.

So "new manager bounce" only applies to managers given a full time job? Not interim or caretakers? Top better give our 2 coaches a full time manager contract then, simple really, we'll start winning then won't we.

Embarrassing decision.

At least we can have him next season for our promotion push.

Odds on from the moment they appointed our ex director of football once they had a bad run .

Where did I say any of that? I appreciate you are trying to be funny but it really isn't working. Sadler and Stowell have been under Brendan for 4 years, they aren't going to just change the approach he has instilled in them and the players in 24 hours with one training session, they also will have far less experience than an actual manager. A new manager with fresh ideas who can put belief in to the players will have an immediate impact, it happens every time, it might not last but it is 100% a thing.

New manager bounce, will likely usually be due to players wanting to impress the manager to cement their place in the team and buying into a new personality/philosophy. You aren't getting that with caretaker managers who the players are familiar with and they know won't be around long-term.

I wouldn't put it past Rudkin to think that signing a manager that has been through the red bull system will automatically have us running as well as those clubs :D

Oscar Garcia mentioned 🤨 erm has he ever managed in the Premier league since Watford sacking in 2015.

He actually wasn't sacked believe it or not - I know it's probably hard to believe!

Left due to personal reason which was put down to him having ill health which actually turned out to be because his daughter was seriously unwell and actually sadly passed away so the media will need to be careful going down that line if his name did come up.

Sure some will do their research but most probably won't.

Looks like he is staying or a dreaded vote of confidence?!

Certainly seems to be a threat in there that he could still be gone very soon

    BALLS !!

our caretaker managers have to knock their brains together and come up with a solid plan quick!

positives are:

+ moved the ball much quicker

+ there was urgency & intensity

+ players were all putting a shift in

+ they genuinely pressed villa in numbers

+ they were going for goal

+ replaced tippy tappy with directness

negatives are:

- some of them tired & lost focus

- replaced intensity with clumsiness

- tried too hard instead being composed

lessons to learn:

> start the same way against Bournemouth

> push for an early goal

> attack in numbers/ defend in numbers

> keep up intensity & get 2nd goal

> when tiredness creeps in play smart/safe

> make subs earlier to keep up intensity

> focus, focus, focus

> if you can’t win than don’t lose!

I’m confident atleast for this game we tweak a few things we can win this game atleast. Against man city will have to play very differently like compact & counter. They hate a deep block. It will be rough & not pretty but it’s all we can do to scrape s point. It can be done - others have done it this season. The playbook is there. COYF!

They are playing it safe as they know the fans will react badly if Cooper is sacked then blame him should Forest go down .
