Great result, not many teams win at home to Norwich

Nice to see Maddison finally turn up against Norwich. Also, seems to me like Justin has lost a yard of pace? Understandable of course.

oh, we won

yay

The most fun I had tonight was collectively raising my palms to the heavens with a Norwich fan when Pukki hit the post and then Tielemans somehow didn't roll it into our own net. Solidarity at our shared crap-ness. lol

Oh, and celebrating cleared corners like we'd scored a goal. :scarf:

This whole season is a sh*tpost. Might as well have a laugh.

My favourite moment from the game

bit of a daft statement to make.  Just because some people want him gone doesn’t mean they want us to lose.

Sorry but  how, not a small minority  of posters keep ranting & spreading their shit every week, it seems they just might..!!

All those that said they wouldn't go (STH) shame on you. Was pretty empty today. Not sure we need this expansion with some of our fans bailing when things get a bit tough. Also not to labour the point but flipping hell, the amount of people leaving at 85 minutes was crazy.

The match

Great second half, started to play the way we know we can. Shame we took our foot off the gas at 3. I still don't understand why Youri is playing unless he's still not sure if he's going ot not? Why not play some of the youngsters? Apart from Youri I think everyone did quite well. Timmy was excellent today. Vardy showing signs of pre injury, Madders made some good moves, Kasper had a few good saves. Amartey only messed up twice (which is an improvement) :D

Barnes first half was very poor again but a bit better second half. I didn't like his body language in the first, reminded me of a spoilt brat.

The change for Mendy changed our game. Well done BR, credit where credit is due. Yes it's only Norwich but it was "only" Everton and we all know what happened against them

Who are you to sit in judgement of me as to why as a season ticket holder I decided not to attend.I have paid my money so makes my choice.

Difference in movement between Vards and Daka is massive.

In fairness Vardy is world class off the ball, even Haaland has been studying him. Daka should do the same.

Better second half performance compared to the first. Always good to win so comfortably.

I’m hoping we take this result forward and build on it.

Some aspects of our game were still poor. I think we had 10 corners and I don’t think we attacked one. We looked very vulnerable defensively. Their final corner again showed our vulnerability.

Lots of work to do over the summer and I hope there is a new voice and faces to revitalise us.

Vardys movement off the ball is one of the best I’ve ever seen from a striker. It’s not his goals that we’ll miss but this aspect of his game too. His movement draws defenders away and creates gaps for our other attackers.
Vardy is possibly City’s best ever striker. Daka and Nacho aren’t on the same planet. Although Daka will improve a lot I think

Barnes is so much more threatening when he attacks with pace, scared the sh1t out of their defender.

1st half Norwich should have easily had a couple. Great saves by Kasper and their GK made a couple of decent saves too.

2nd half we whipped them.

Job done, all good in the World.

Might forget about the Everton game now!!!(Still cant forget the Forest one though!!!)

Do you judge when a player who is getting paid doesn't 'turn up' to a game? Yes shame on you for not going to the game just because you've paid doesn't make it any less lame that (potentially) you couldn't be arsed to go as we've been 'below par' - doesn't really make you a loyal fan not does it?

What's happened to me? I've watched the team play this season! We've been poor. I'd give us a D at best as a grade for the season. This is the worst Everton team of all time in the Premier League but they got 4/6 points against us. The Spurs defeat, the calamitous set pieces, the FA Cup exit to Forest of all teams, going out to Roma without laying a glove on them, etc, etc.

If fans are booing the manager and players, they are entitled to. Most managers would have got sacked after a season like this. I'm not saying he should be, but our owners won't mess about if they think there's an issue.

Today was both a good result and a good performance, so credit where it is due. But it's against a team that sit dead last with a goal difference of -53 coming into this game, and who could easily have taken the lead on the stroke of half time.

I'm actually very surprised at this, especially the bolded section -  I think that's just not true.

Take the win but as others have said im still not convinced, Norwich are a dreadful side. Thought the booing at half time was out of order though today. Fair play to their fans for getting behind their team, decent effort and had a good sense of humour with their chants.

Agreed, it’s his timing of his runs as well, I think we all take for granted just how good his game is and how much he occupies his markers. They’re ****ing shit scared of him.

I know the goals have dried up since he got injured and the build up play has been ponderous for a while but Daka is not much of an outlet. Lots to work on but the potential is there..

First half was crap. Dull as dishwater with opportunities for Norwich that should haven’t happened. Very fortunate Pukki f**ked up in a pretty much open goal. Kasper performed some great saves, like a different keeper to Roma/Everton.

Second half was much better. If we’d have played like that in the first half we could have really whipped them. But given our last few outings, I’ll take this as a step in the right direction.

With very few subs, the team is going to be shattered for Watford.
