Agreed, it’s his timing of his runs as well, I think we all take for granted just how good his game is and how much he occupies his markers. They’re ****ing shit scared of him.

I know the goals have dried up since he got injured and the build up play has been ponderous for a while but Daka is not much of an outlet. Lots to work on but the potential is there..

I agree

Just imagine being a defender and trying to mark Vardy!

He’d be talking to them all the time too I imagine 😂

I wouldn’t envy anyone trying to play against Steptoe

Vardys movement off the ball is one of the best I’ve ever seen from a striker. It’s not his goals that we’ll miss but this aspect of his game too. His movement draws defenders away and creates gaps for our other attackers.
Vardy is possibly City’s best ever striker. Daka and Nacho aren’t on the same planet. Although Daka will improve a lot I think

Correction...

Vardy is City's best ever player

Do you judge when a player who is getting paid doesn't 'turn up' to a game? Yes shame on you for not going to the game just because you've paid doesn't make it any less lame that (potentially) you couldn't be arsed to go as we've been 'below par' - doesn't really make you a loyal fan not does it?

IMO, choosing not to go is the best possible way of demonstrating how unhappy you are with performances.

Going and clapping utter dross does nothing.

Booing creates a toxic atmosphere which rarely makes anything better or has a positive effect on players and could even drive them out.

Not going demonstrates the power that fans have. Without us, there is no business and although we love our owners, we ARE a business to them and threatening the profit they make from that business is a very effective way of ensuring something changes. That might not be the manager but it will definately force some hard conversations with him.

The pro-Brendan coming out in numbers tonight like beating the shittest team (really, really shit) that are already relegated at home in the league is some kind of stroke of genius and negates 18 months of dross.

I get it, some people are happy to be mediocre and watch dull shite week in week out because it makes them better fans. They have a longing to be a small club, an underdog and hope we will be little old Leicester forever more.

Others strive for better, want to be entertained when they spend their money and get disappointed when we consistently play like shit. They believe we can be better, have been better and damn well should be better with the squad we have.

Nobody should be changing their views on the back of this result. That really would be fickle.

I think Rodgers is brilliant and that we should keep him at the club until at least 2028

I didn’t think that, but now we’ve beat Naaaaarch I’ve changed my mind.

I think

For the record, I have no issue with people taking a position (on BR, or indeed anything) and maintaining it. I do have an issue with people dominating the forum in every thread, finding new and ingenious ways of telling the world how right they are and essentially saying the same thing, over and over again, and then wondering why some tire of the collective tirade of what is actually not a huge number of people.

Ok point taken!! 😉

Night!!

I'm not intentionally p1ssing on the collective chips, but did you see how Vardy finished the match? - he could hardly run and clearly had a problem with that persistent groin issue he has. I hope I'm wrong but I fear we see him again this season.

Pray for our lord Vardy!

Solid win against a piss poor outfit.  First half was terrible but once Brendan picked the correct side and bought Mendy on we looked a lot better.

Rodgers out.

Fair perspective. I was thinking the exact opposite though, I think the fans wanted to see a Vardy hat-trick and gaining some appreciation from the fans is just what BR needs right now.

....Rodgers needed this result, he needs people on side and he went strong in this game!!!

If he wanted to show some strength, he would have brought in some academy players tonight. All very well being a flat track bully but we really wanted to see where our  future lies, not him trying to get people on side.

The reaction of the supporters when we defended the penalty in front of the Kop….priceless 😉

I know it's surprising given the rate of them that go in but it was a corner.

It was funny as a one off but that can't continue lol

Rodgers has kept Vardy on when injured several times this season to our detriment. Don't be surprised at all.

Let me break it down for those who struggle to grasp the difference of opinion.

Leicester lose - those in favour of Brendan stick up for him, those who want him gone ramp up the criticism

Leicester win - those in favour of Brendan belittle any fan who wants Brendan out, those who want him gone often remain unmoved by single results.

Rinse and repeat

Have just seen a gentle old poster strawmanned too, never any forum police around when you need them

Yes.

ESPN

Can eighth in the Premier League qualify for Europe?

It is impossible for eighth to qualify by league position. This team must win a domestic cup competition or a European title to play in Europe the following season.
