We 100% will need to replace.

Danny Ward is just not good enough to start for us all year and I say that as someone that's seen more of him than the average Leicester fan.

What bits have you seen that we haven't ?

who will well get as an upgrade on the cheap then?

....I am not looking to do this on the cheap!!!

Your post suggested that it may cost us the ability to spend on a defender or an RW, I am saying that would be the way to go. You need to have that position as solid as possible, we cannot cut corners with such a fundamental position. Henderson at Forest or Pope (at 30, is 5 years younger than Kasper), I am sure there are keepers out there with the quality and experience we need.

How's it work for Nice, can they offer tax free salaries like Monaco or because they aren't based in the principality then they're like the rest of France? Or is it about where the player resides, so if Kasper lives in Monaco then Nice could pay him £75k a week and he'd earn the same as he's been earning at Leicester pretty much?

I think he meant for the Wales National Team.

ah well we're buggered then should Kasper leave

hope that IF we spend money on a new keeper, we actually get a big upgrade in. Don't need a sideways move like Leno or something along those lines

With the money we have that not easy.

Rodgers is a huge fan of Stolarczyk

What's the reason? Is he good with his feet / has good distribution?

We are the type of team who if we had David Raya from Brentford in goal would probably be a lot better, even though his shot stopping and marshaling of his defence is pretty average. That's why I'm not sure Iversen will ever become our number 1 permanently.

I don’t think it’s a matter of Stolarcyzk being particularly impressive with his feet - more that Iversen is really not very good with his.

Ha ha fair enough!

He has been an integral part of our progression, and will be remembered as a legend, but Father Time waits for no man and as a club there is no time for sentiment.

Let’s hope whoever eventually does feel his boots is an adequate replacement.

....after that faux pas of nearly putting the ball in the back of his net, I must admit none of our keepers gives me any confidence while passing it around at the back!!!

You can see the ball either going under their foot or bouncing over their boot and ending up in the net. Why we continue to do this while we are so poor at it I do not know. The end result tends to be Kasper kicking the ball out of play under pressure anyway.

Loved Praet looking to play forward all the time and going ahead of the forwards, Soumare releasing the ball the first time and not getting caught in possession.

Correct, distribution is his strongest asset.

Kasper can do whatever he wants, he's earned the right to it. After 10+ years at the club plus literally running towards the Helicopter to check on Khun Vichai, he is and always will be a legend here. If he wants a change of scenery / one last challenge, he's more than earned it.

Agreed! I hope he stays

After his initial **** up late on he made an unreal save. Was good with his feet throughout.

To allow Kasper to leave and go into a new Premier League season with Iversen and Stolarczyk as our two main keepers would be an absolutely colossal gamble. Not one I want to see us take personally. Would be very happy to be proven wrong btw.

would be worth the risk as we only play 14 games before world cup and if the worst happens and Ward, Iversen and Stolarczyk all let us down big time we could sign a keeper in the January transfer window.

Of course, and I can’t imagine we will.
