Either Rodgers wants him moving on, as he does many others so he can build a team or life at Leicester is not a pleasant place and players want away. It could be that he wants to assess whether it's worth keeping ward

No chance Rodgers sees the season as ‘over’. He’ll care about his record and an 8th placed finish following two 5th placed finishes with Leicester he’ll see as a great achievement that he can talk up.

If you want rid of him before he wants out, it could bring you down as manager due to the influence he could have. If he wants out before you’re ready, you need not only the right player but the right personality ready to fill the void he’ll leave behind. It’s a big change to have to manage.

Sell he has been amazing but we need to address our defending set pieces. He is on large wages and we could invest that elsewhere. 

We should be looking at Pope or Henderson as our number one. Sell Ward and promote Iverson.

If he can be replaced I’d let him go. He’s a legend and he’s been an incredible servant to the club. He will one day probably have a statue outside the ground along with the title winning team. But there’s always a right time to move on, and potentially if we can get a fee for him, all the better.

Its not Kasper, its not the defence, its all of them and a lack of confidence and conviction.

Replacing Kasper or defenders in isolation will not resolve the problem without some serious mental and tactical work.

I am on quite a few fan forums & a common thread is that Newcastle will pay big money for unwanted players on big money.

Newcastle are not in the market for a 35 year old keeper on big money !!

I really don't see many Premier league teams who are in Europe having much interest in him. 

I suspect he will need to go to a European team but then how many are able to pay the type of money he is on !!!!

Personally, I would be fine with him leaving on a free as a thanks for his services.

I am confident that Ward & Iverson are more than capable of taking over,

It’s a collective unit. He’s a great shot stopper. 
 

We’ve tried to mould ourselves with these defenders that step out from the back and like to spray the ball around (sideways and back). Unfortunately they’re shite in the air. Unfortunately the ones we have, are terrible in the air. 
 

Huth, Fuchs, Simpson and Morgan masked this deficiency, as they were so dominant in the air.

Kasper is a world class shot stopper. The rest of his attributes let him down and that's why he is with us, in particular his box commanading.

 

He is a leader and I'd rather him stay but if there was a time to move on this is it. We couldn't really get much worse in defence to a well chosen replacement could work wonders. 

However I think he will stay and for me he's a Leicester legend.
