Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 May 2022 Posted 16 May 2022 Come on Leicester City let’s finish the season on a high 🦊💙🦊💙🦊💙 3

And if they win, they stay up and the crowd would go mad. Definitely the better television out of the 3 games on offer. 1
Matt_Lcfc Posted 16 May 2022 Posted 16 May 2022 Pretty minor in terms of finishing 8th - 11th but I still want to see us finish the season strongly. Momentum is key in football, especially in this team and accumulating as many points as possible in the final two games will set a good marker for next season. I think our strong finish to 18/19 was a big reason for us hitting the ground running in 19/20. That said, I can’t see us getting a result here. Chelsea will be keen to secure 3rd so I can’t see us getting any points. 1 1

Not many seasons we have finished on more points in the top flight.

Which is pretty decent considering the horror season we've had. But Chelsea still got top 4 to secure. So put a fiver on Rudiger to score anytime. Anybody still care! Nothing pleases me more than putting one over on these. You can throw Manure in on that too.
SuperMike Posted 16 May 2022 Posted 16 May 2022 (edited) Chelsea now secure in the CL places, so may try out some less familiar faces. No matter, though, we always lose to London's top 4 teams - not expecting any different outcome here! Edited 16 May 2022 by SuperMike Typo 1

As I have said on other threads, I do believe individual brilliance has papered over the cracks at certain times. 2
glebe_sydneyfox Posted 16 May 2022 Posted 16 May 2022 Now they've got CL wrapped up I think we'll see a fair bit of rotation. Do fancy us nabbing a point on Thurs.

FoyleFox Posted 16 May 2022 Posted 16 May 2022 Livefootballontv.com now says villa v Burnley. Had nothing for the EPL yesterday.
Gamble92 Posted 17 May 2022 Posted 17 May 2022 Why hasn't the Europa Conference spot from the league Cup been allocated to 8th? Or is it just for the league Cup and then given to 7th if that's won by a top 6 side?

lcfc sheff Posted 17 May 2022 Posted 17 May 2022 Make a statement, players fit and bang in form let’s try get a result and finish the season strong
Lionator Posted 17 May 2022 Posted 17 May 2022 A win here would build us some good momentum going into next season, so we should really go for it.
SuperMike Posted 17 May 2022 Posted 17 May 2022 Yes, I know that England can only put 7 teams into Europe next season. But is there not a good case for finishing 8th as UEFA will surely ban all Russian participation and would therefore need to invite other clubs to compete, in order to preseve the integrity of their three competitions? Just a thought!

Just a thought! Think it just means more byes further down and other nations moving up ranking. For example, Scotland got a group stage spot in the CL (rather than playoffs) and so on. There is no extra place as such, just stocking up from the bottom if you get me.

Finishing 8th (rather than as low as 14th, which is still possible) might make us marginally more attractive to potential new signings so I'm all for maximising our points return in these last 2 games. 3
