Not at all I’m just curious that Percy seemed to think kasper was doubted and we’d go for another goalie and nothing has been spoken about since… been rumoured a few times of kasper leaving over the last three years 1
smudger63 Posted 20 June 2022 Posted 20 June 2022 If we were going for a keeper, which I don't think we will be, then Pope should be the one we go for. Was linked with Newcastle last week on talksport. Apparently one year left on his contract and Burnley hoping for 20 million, but might go for less according to the talksport transfer bloke.

filbertway Posted 21 June 2022 Posted 21 June 2022 We've not been collecting talented young keepers from Europe to blow our budget on a keeper. If this happens then it's time to start preparing for life in the championship as that's the way we'll be heading in a couple of seasons.

filbertway Posted 21 June 2022 Posted 21 June 2022 Just now, Dusty said: This is the only logical outcome of buying good players. If we go out and spend 30-50 million on a keeper we won't be signing good players, unless Top has found the keys to the King Power safe down the back of his sofa.

Sankey93 Posted 24 July 2022 Posted 24 July 2022 If Kasper did leave, would this lad be the number one target ?

st albans fox Posted 24 July 2022 Posted 24 July 2022 Would be v surprised if we bought a player from Brighton- they are more difficult to buy from than us !
CrispinLA in Texas Posted 24 July 2022 Posted 24 July 2022 (edited) We've got Ward and Iverson......we not 50m to waste....most goal keepers are the same quality anyway Edited 24 July 2022 by CrispinLA in Texas 3
Dahnsouff Posted 24 July 2022 Posted 24 July 2022 Would be insanely indulgent and sends a horrific message to the youth prospects who have gone on loan and performed well 2
TrentFox Posted 24 July 2022 Posted 24 July 2022 Anxious fan trawls all new posts in transfer section, repeatedly. Awaits ‘signed for Newcastle’ notification.

Ederson for Man City is an average shot stopper but legitimately good enough to play outfield with his feet. Having a keeper like that makes it that much easier to play out from a press and start attacks. But I’d agree with giving players a chance, especially if they’ve done well away from the club. Look at the reception Iverson got at Preston - they cheered more for him than their own players! 2
Frank Large's Black Book Posted 24 July 2022 Posted 24 July 2022 (edited) Why........would we spend £50m on a replacement goalie whose wages would be not far short of the one who we let go because we needed to reduce the wages bill. Can we close the whole topic down, not just the thread. Peeps are getting sun-stroke Edited 24 July 2022 by Frank Large's Black Book 1

ARM1968 Posted 25 July 2022 Posted 25 July 2022 We’ve got goalies coming out of our ears. Surely one of them would be good enough to replace Kasper. Just give someone a crack at it. 1
