Nah, spies are everywhere especially in the PL. Its nearly impossible to find an unscouted player unless you look in very obscure places.

...irrespective of our problems regarding FFP and space in our squad, we would still have struggled to have brought him here!!!

I do not know where we are currently looking in respect of players but there are quality and well-priced players that are going elsewhere and we have recently been more competitive than them. There is a lot being made of the two 5th places F.A. Cup, Charity shield, and forays into Europe, but from outside the club, it seems that prospective players see something else.

They nabbed Doucoure, they’re on the brink of nabbing Richards.

Some cvnt from the Crystal Palace scouting team clearly goes on Foxestalk and reads our posts :@

Dear Palace scout,

We love Vestegard, Bertrand and Perez. They would bring much needed experience to your young and talented squad.

There are of course multiple reasons for a player who is in demand to make a choice. Money is obviously a main reason but location, history, ambition , kudos and current management are also big factors. The opinions of partners and wives are also important.

I have it on good authority that the Crystal Palace scout can unfortunately sense sarcasm.

.... let us look at the boxes being ticked!!!

Money- We overpay our players, we do have an impasse at the moment in respect of an overblown squad.

History - Two top 5 finishes, F.A. Cup win, and League Title in the last 6 years, Palace at best making up the numbers.

Ambition - At the moment, Palace is on a par, at best with us.

Kudos - Title holders six years ago, we are a known commodity, and Palace looking to move forward with a world-renowned Manager.

Current Management - Viera is a potentially excellent manager, after only one season in the league, Rodgers is hailed as an elite manager according to the media.

Partners and Wives - hard to assess.

I was talking generally really but yes we tick more boxes than Palace but what goes on in a footballer's mind, who knows?

....I would have thought a lot of those points would have been relevant in his decisions!!!

I would think that he may feel the environment at Palace would suit him better. Our achievements recently are not cutting any ice out there.

Maybe I'm missing something here but it's completely irrelevant how attractive we are compared to Palace or whoever if they can afford to make an offer and we can't

We should have been all over Olise last summer.

This summer they nabbed Ebiowei(Ric suggestion), Doucoure(my suggestion), now possibly signing Richards(both of our suggestions).

If they sign Ludovic Blas or Julian Von Moos, something fishy is definitely going on.

Sounds like you'd be happier supporting Palace.

Why would Colwill come to Leicester? He would be at least 4th choice behind Wes, Jonny and Daniel. He is a good/very good prospect but he has loads to learn and would definitely NOT sort out our defensive problems. Watched him a lot for Huddersfield last season, and whilst largely being solid also showed naivety at times. If he chooses to move it will be for opportunity of game time which would be very limited here at Leicester. If he is our main target, it will be for 2 seasons time, not this coming season.

He would not be 4th choice.

Johnny showed signs of real regression last season, Amartey is probably

one of the worst defenders in the league, only to be backed up by the other worst defender in the league and possibly the world in Vesty.

Colwill is a talent, and he would probably end up starting every game.

He will be 1st choice IMO.

Bit hard on Evans he had 12 month blighted by injuries.

Fully fit and a good pre season he can come back just as good.

Be nice to have a left foot CB, makes a 3 back more viable if required.

Him and Fofana, ether side of Evans would be a great unit.

Probably be with Fofana the youngest and least experienced pair in premiership history and we know that Rodgers would never do that if he had a choice.

You are not gonna get minutes, get your ass over here and sort out our defending mate.

...obviously trying hard not to look pushy and attempting to force anyone's hand!!!

Any real offers coming in for him will be considered by him and his agent, no point making waves right now until the club( Chelsea) have shown their hand.

...low blow...!!!

Those players listed are quality players we should have been looking to pick up. We have been poor in our scouting and these are players who had been right under our nose and yet they have found their way to a club who have not achieved anything near what we have garnered recently.

Perhaps the pull is working with a player such as Vieira, who has not pulled up any trees where ever he has been in his management career so far.

You don't even need to be a spy with databases like FM, pretty much anyone can 'spot' talent and then take an interest in real life

Was a low blow but we've had our time too when we could sign the likes of tielemans Madison fofana Daka Evans Castaneda, other teams would've been looking at us enviously.

We're in a tight spot at the minute, hopefully it's temporary.
