If Tielemans thinks the same, he's very much mistaken. Think you're doing him down there, doubt he went to a club like Chelsea thinking he could be 'the big man'.

UniFox21 Posted 14 July 2022 Posted 14 July 2022 Was born in Southampton, wonder if that puts them ahead of us
Popular Post Ian Nacho Posted 14 July 2022 Popular Post Posted 14 July 2022 At least if he goes to Southampton we can buy him in 3 years time when it turns out he’s shite. 19

They've just signed Bella-Kotchap and he'll challenge for a 1st team place alongside Salisu who is another left footed CB. They've already spent nearly £40m this transfer window, I think we stand more of a chance but you never know. Colwill will play a lot of games for us.

Mr.Bingles Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 He'll go to Palace or Southampton because we couldn't offload Uncle Festerguard 2

AKCJ Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Chelsea have withdrawn their interest in Nathan Ake so this might not happen. 1
An Sionnach Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Younger than Thomas and no premiership experience, alongside Fofana a very considerable risk. A promising youngster but no replacement for Soyuncu.
CosbehFox Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Yeah not great news that - seems a bit bizarre how the deal just called off which suggests either Chelsea have had a breakthrough with another player or they are trusting Colwill

indierich06 Posted 15 July 2022 Posted 15 July 2022 Will they still sell him if they don't sign Ake? Maybe not.

Is also a left footed CB like Aké. Which would still leave them with Koulibaly - Silva - Kimpembe with Cholabah and Sarr on the bench which they might think is enough. So there’s still hope
Lambert09 Posted 17 July 2022 Posted 17 July 2022 would anyone be too concerned if our window ends up being just him and a rw? I think i’d take it at this point. Levi + benjy B, diop or even lookman and i’ll feel we are improved for the campaign. Fine tune not rebuild… probably more of what brendan should have been aiming for 4
DezFox Posted 17 July 2022 Posted 17 July 2022 Everyone talking about what chelsea are doing with their centre backs. Makes no difference to us. We will not be in for colwill at all. He will probably go to palace or some other team who have not screwed up the whole structure over the last 18 months. Some real bargains to be had this year, prices are down and we are not to be seen. I think our squad will be ok to finish top half still this year. However, we could have done with getting some more assets in for the future.
