Sounds like it would probably be a loan with an obligation to buy if promoted

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10886313/Leicester-interested-signing-Monaco-star-Sofiane-Diop-winger-valued-20m.html

The Foxes are also prepared to loan out midfielder Choudhury in the summer, with West Brom keen to bring the player to the Hawthorns.

The 24-year-old midfielder is seeking more game time after falling down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium - with Steve Bruce's side interested in bringing him in.

Choudhury made just six Premier League appearances last year, with Boubakary Soumare's summer arrival meaning competition for a starting spot was even higher.

He could leave on a permanent deal, but that's only likely if the Baggies can negotiate a fixed fee that could be paid if they secure promotion to the top flight.

He’s at an age where he needs first team action and we need funds for the rebuild. We should prioritise a buyer willing to buy now and only look to loan with an obligation to buy.

Yeah that's about the best we can hope for, West Brom still got parachute payments so might cover half his salary at best.

Have to have someone willing to buy, not sure there is a massive queue.

Last year of his contract we would lucky to get 2-3m.

Would be a good move for him that. Would prefer we just got a fee for him though rather than the loan although I guess if he smashes it there then competition for his signature would be good for us.

Out of contract next summer, so doesn't really matter.

Good move for Hamza if it happens. Bruce has been a longtime admirer, wanting him at Newcastle when he was there. That's what he needs in his career, a manager who rates him and wants to play him.

You are probably right. I remember there was some gossip around Southampton, Newcastle a while back.

Brendan doesn’t seem to be having him tho and we need the funds.

This is probably the most bizarre link/rumour you'll see here but I was speaking to Leon Osman for a good while yesterday who suggested Everton were close to signing a midfield player from Leicester. He later hinted pretty heavily it was Hamza Choudhry; but we were both drunk; so please just make of it what you will. He's also a pretty good dancer. Alan Pardew isn't (but thinks he is) but does have very expensive shoes.

I trust this is of some use.

Weirdly I can see it. A very Everton signing and would be a cheap option given their financial constraints atm.

Ah right, fair enough. Thought he still had a couple of years.

Not good enough for us but wouldve thought he'd find a prem side. Our fringe players always seem to go so cheaply compared to others.

I like this lad but he’s never going to play regular footy here. He’ll do well with a full season out on loan or sell him if possible. The time is right.

Surely there would be no loan with an obligation to buy as he’d be a free agent next summer anyway

Wouldn't be surprised if there is an option to extend it for a year or it doesn't actually run out next year like we are led to believe (like how Amartey signed a deal until 2022 but it actually runs out 2023)

I wonder if West Brom will pay majority of his wages.

Depends what they’ll pay as a loan fee

I guess it’s also down to how many clubs are in for him and if he’s ok to go to more than one of them

we will spin it as good business whatever the deal!

He should be able to fetch us a fee of between 7m-12m, depending on the demand we can whip up.

Fulham, Saints, Bournemouth, Burnley, that red filth (though I'd charge them 70 odd million) ....maybe even get some bundesliga or Seria A interested
