moore_94 Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 Sounds like it would probably be a loan with an obligation to buy if promoted https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10886313/Leicester-interested-signing-Monaco-star-Sofiane-Diop-winger-valued-20m.html The Foxes are also prepared to loan out midfielder Choudhury in the summer, with West Brom keen to bring the player to the Hawthorns. The 24-year-old midfielder is seeking more game time after falling down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium - with Steve Bruce's side interested in bringing him in. Choudhury made just six Premier League appearances last year, with Boubakary Soumare's summer arrival meaning competition for a starting spot was even higher. He could leave on a permanent deal, but that's only likely if the Baggies can negotiate a fixed fee that could be paid if they secure promotion to the top flight. 1
JimmyC74 Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 He’s at an age where he needs first team action and we need funds for the rebuild. We should prioritise a buyer willing to buy now and only look to loan with an obligation to buy.

Yeah that's about the best we can hope for, West Brom still got parachute payments so might cover half his salary at best.
Popular Post tetly Posted 5 June 2022 Popular Post Posted 5 June 2022 He has never really been given a good run in the team to prove himself. I think a move would be good for both club and him. 5 1

Last year of his contract we would lucky to get 2-3m. 1
Tielemans63 Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 Would be a good move for him that. Would prefer we just got a fee for him though rather than the loan although I guess if he smashes it there then competition for his signature would be good for us.

Out of contract next summer, so doesn't really matter. 1
Popular Post The People's Hero Posted 5 June 2022 Popular Post Posted 5 June 2022 This is probably the most bizarre link/rumour you'll see here but I was speaking to Leon Osman for a good while yesterday who suggested Everton were close to signing a midfield player from Leicester. He later hinted pretty heavily it was Hamza Choudhry; but we were both drunk; so please just make of it what you will. He's also a pretty good dancer. Alan Pardew isn't (but thinks he is) but does have very expensive shoes. I trust this is of some use. 1 1 21
sm1 Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 Good move for Hamza if it happens. Bruce has been a longtime admirer, wanting him at Newcastle when he was there. That's what he needs in his career, a manager who rates him and wants to play him. 2

Brendan doesn’t seem to be having him tho and we need the funds.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 May aswell sell now, surely someone would want him? I guess his salary puts most clubs off though, on a pretty decent wage if I recall.

A very Everton signing and would be a cheap option given their financial constraints atm.

alanf0x Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 Get rid and replace with someone who has ‘good banter around the training ground’ for a cheaper weekly salary!!
sammy82 Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 Surely there would be no loan with an obligation to buy as he’d be a free agent next summer anyway
sdb Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 Not good enough for us but wouldve thought he'd find a prem side. Our fringe players always seem to go so cheaply compared to others.
Lambert09 Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 Brucey really did love that “career ending” tackle on matt ritchie, didn’t he? 3
dannythefox Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 I like this lad but he’s never going to play regular footy here. He’ll do well with a full season out on loan or sell him if possible. The time is right.

Depends what they’ll pay as a loan fee I guess it’s also down to how many clubs are in for him and if he’s ok to go to more than one of them we will spin it as good business whatever the deal!

JimJams Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 It's probably at best a chance to get his wage taken on with no loan fee.
Paninistickers Posted 5 June 2022 Posted 5 June 2022 He should be able to fetch us a fee of between 7m-12m, depending on the demand we can whip up. Fulham, Saints, Bournemouth, Burnley, that red filth (though I'd charge them 70 odd million) ....maybe even get some bundesliga or Seria A interested
