Tbf, his odds vary across bookies One has him joint second favourite with three others, another joint fifth favourite. Some even have tuchel shorter than Brendan. there is no market at this time of year. 4
coolhandfox Posted 17 June 2022 Posted 17 June 2022 (edited) Currently 5th longest-serving PL manager and 12th in English football. Hardly surprising given the average shelf life of a manager. Edited 17 June 2022 by coolhandfox 1
Popular Post Vacamion Posted 17 June 2022 Popular Post Posted 17 June 2022 I have in this envelope the name of a manager who will sell his best players, buy replacements from Southampton and have the crowd on his back as we pass it around at the back at 0-1 down at home… 3 1 4

Dan Posted 17 June 2022 Posted 17 June 2022 I do think he has to start fairly well and show demonstrable improvement on last season. Could quickly turn quite restless I think. 1

Could quickly turn quite restless I think. The break for the World Cup will be interesting - not necessarily for us but across the league. It gives a new manager a few weeks’ training time with players not going to the WC and a few weeks’ thinking time ahead of the transfer window. It also leaves 22 games which is ordinarily enough time to make a decent attempt at salvaging a season. I think we’ll see 3 or 4 managerial changes at that point.
winteriscoming Posted 17 June 2022 Posted 17 June 2022 Only way he goes is if we’re in the bottom 3 or under threat of dropping into it. 1
MPH Posted 17 June 2022 Posted 17 June 2022 We need to back him or sack him now. Give him the money for the overhaul and get behind him. No point sacking him after 10 games when the window is closed and the new man can’t do anything to implement his ways. 2
Wolfox Posted 17 June 2022 Posted 17 June 2022 For a couple of reasons I hope he has a storming season 1. because that’s good for us 2. because he’s a good manager i want to be worried about Man Utd poaching him again please 2
smudger63 Posted 17 June 2022 Posted 17 June 2022 Nightmare scenario! We are having a poor season going into the break for the World Cup. England inevitably flop big style with Southgate. The owners and hierarchy at the club decide to make a change, sack Rodgers at the resumption of the season, and think to themselves, oh that nice man, and now ex England manager Southgate is available, lets give him a 5 year contract! 1 1 1
foxy boxing Posted 17 June 2022 Posted 17 June 2022 Obviously there are a lot of factors as to why he's third favourite for the sack! Opening few fixtures Squad/expectations How last season went Etc, Etc. The bookies very rarely get things wrong! (Apart from 2016) He needs to get off to a decent start, if we're struggling early on for results the pressure will keep building.
Popular Post Haywood_6 Posted 17 June 2022 Popular Post Posted 17 June 2022 Can we try and start the season on a more positive note please? Get behind the players and manager for the new campaign. Let's see what happens. 6 1
foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 June 2022 Posted 17 June 2022 Don’t worry Southgate will be available after Christmas 😊 1
foxile5 Posted 17 June 2022 Posted 17 June 2022 Lots of factors having an impact here. Lack of signings in the talk of a rebuild. Poor end to the season. Best player on the way out. Length of time at club. Looking at it through the lens of the bookies it makes sense even if it's not a reflection of reality.

The end to the season was actually good, it was what happened before that, which was the problem . 4

Let's see what happens. I second this sentiment but it's hard remembering we took one point from Everton last year lost 4-1 to bloody forest and we bowed out miserably against roma. Also we blew multiple leads like against Liverpool, and spurs. And as a cherry on top, very little transfer chatter. I hope Rodgers proves me wrong, but it's not looking likely.
