Why?

What would be the point him coming back?

To go back to the U21s?

Play with the kids again?

This would then stop the development of

Odunze and Doherty.

He's getting intense coaching from Owain Williams (former Welsh international) And wouldn't get the same amount kf time invested in him here with all the other keepers at City.

On the bench everyweek and ready to take his opportunity I'm sure it will come at some point.

to send him somewhere he will actually play

Agree with Fin here.

Few reasons

- He's learning what it's like to be patient behind an in form goalkeeper, key for any GK really!

- We can't grumble too much, he was signed by them late on after they'd already had a GK between the sticks for their first few league games, and that keeper has only conceded 9 in 10 games

- He's started in two trophy games and a league cup game (against Everton, which is an amazing opportunity and good of them to do that!), so they're giving him the chance to earn that spot whenever Lynch slips up.

Assess it in January, if he's not managed to break through then yes, consider sending him somewhere else, but chances are the same might happen, there's not many league sides scrambling around for a first choice keeper, so he'd likely join somewhere else and have to earn his place.

he doesn't need to learn how to be patient, that's not the point of a loan he could have been patient here as our number 3, you send him out to play, if he's not going to play there, recall him and move him elsewhere, same with Brad Young, keepers especially are wasted loans if not playing

I'd agree with Brad, he's gone there as 3rd choice for some reason, that one needs addressing.

Jakub has played 3 more professional games this season than he would of if he was our no.3

- Everton (near full strength)

- Barrow

- Carlisle

Yes i'd love to see him get a few league games, but equally I don't see where else he goes this season and instantly gets that chance. He also can't be recalled and sent somewhere else until January, so it's sort of an unneccessary debate until then. Fleetwood have 13 guaranteed and 15 potential games between now and then. Plenty of time for more action (1 of those 15 he will play and the two others are FA Cup round 1 and 2)

I think Young is 2nd choice at Notts County, but because they are only allowed 5 subs, they don’t bother having a keeper on the bench at all

hirst just missed a 95th min pen to tie the game

looks like we are back to this

Watched the game, I text my Rovers supporting mate about a minute before the pen saying I didn't think Hirst was up to much and he said he's been very disappointing in his involvement since the loan. If I remember correctly it took him a little time to get going as Portsmouth, fingers crossed it's the same this time.

This is what I don't understand about some of our loans.

We've got a highly rated keeper playing as a national league back up, and a bang average striker getting on the pitch for a play off chasing championship side with money lol

Strikes me not a lot of thought goes into this!

..  I remarked he looked ponderous in pre-season,  seems like he has beefed up and it has not helped his game!!!

I still think he has the talent to make it, but I don't know if he is too easily influenced and does things that is detrimental to his game.

He needs to get back to his proper size and weight, he was never rapid but he was quick enough. Hate to see him going through all this again.

He plays like he really loves the game, he needs to be his own man.
