What I really can't comprehend is surely Iversen cannot be any worse and if given the choice between nurturing a 25 year old who's been regularly playing in his career and a 29 year old who's always been second choice, why would you not choose the younger player who can contribute for potentially a decade or more?

If it’s on target and either side of Ward it’s very likely to go in. Rodgers’ stubbornness in selecting him will be looked back as a big contributing factor to the inevitable sacking. As I’ve said before, his ongoing selection is so obviously wrong that it’s like Rodgers is actually trying to get the sack (and the £10m.)

yeah, it’s not his fault he probably just dropped all his coins. Any other walk of life we’d have sympathy for him
