I knew we’d miss Schmeichel and was arguing with plenty on here who were wanting a change in goal.

But I didn’t imagine Ward would be this bad.
His positioning in relation strikers running in on goal is appalling. They almost can’t miss

Your little mascot is getting roundly derided at Nice for the same short comings he had here. Look at the goal he conceded vs Monaco. Backtracking away from a cross instead of coming to claim it.

The only thing that's mental is that Iversen didn't start as number 1, but it's quite clear that Rodgers is trying to torpedo us this season so he's making all the bad decisions he can.

Alex Neil after him for Stoke in Jan if he's available and on the bench still for us. It seems a complete no brainer now. Stick him in, he can't be any worse than Ward and if he is by some impossibility then we can always sell him in Jan at a time we need to be balancing the books.

I want Iverson a chance but the chopping and changing might not be a good idea for the team. They need balance and consistency. Ward might come good after he’s adjusted from being thrown into a hot frying pan it’s trial by fire so give him a few more games

No, He needs to be removed immediately if we are to have any chance of turning it around.

I've never seen a goal keeper turn away from the Ball in case it hits him in the face. I've seen better keepers in the lower leagues.

He simply isn't good enough.

Let's cut Ward some slack,   I bet he thought kasper was gonna be number 1 until 45 and he could live a cushy life of playing in the early rounds of cup games whilst getting paid a fortune.

Must be sitting himself now he is in the fireing

line.

Just seen our xG conceded last season was 1.76 per game. So far this season is 1.65 per game… we have actually IMPROVED defensively, which I struggled to believe. The stat which explains this, is that Ward is the worst performing keeper in the league statistically (excluding travers because of their 9-0 defeat), conceding low xG chances. xGP (expected goals prevented) for Ward is -3.50, worse than anyone except travers, and Ward was bottom before the 9-0 defeat for Bournemouth.

Ward won't come good, he is worse than useless. He doesn't even look like a goalkeeper. Iversen has to be given a chance and if he isn't good enough, then we are going to have to bring Smithies in. Ward shouldn't even be our number 2 keeper anymore, now that we have seen that his level is so poor.

He’s done an interview in the times. He thinks his performances have been average. Ffs on so many levels

Would club let him do interview if he’s about to be dropped?

You'd think not

But absolutely anything is possible with this club

The worry is if he thinks he's been average, how bad are his below average performances. Can't wait to see one of those

But his world class

Schmeichel, who was in action in Nice's 1-0 defeat to Monaco last weekend, was described as "passive" in his approach and was given a 3/10 rating for his performance, as per L'Equipe (via SportWitness). Alongside his rating, the French outlet ran the words: "Schmeichel, the haunted season"

It read: "Ineffective since his arrival in Nice, the Danish goalkeeper is still passive on the Monegasque goal. Recruited to support Marcin Bulka, he must do better to confirm the hierarchy.

We can not afford to give him a few more games, and end up getting cut adrift in the bottom three. There are certainly no guarantees with Iversen, but he simply can not be worse than Ward, who is absolutely shocking! I honestly would also drop Ward to the number three keeper and bring Smithies in as  our number two keeper, for the time being.

My god, if they are his average performances, I dread to think how is poor performances are! I watch him, and I honestly keep asking myself how he ever got taken on as a goalkeeper!

You know what? I'm 63 and supported city since I was 11, so I hate criticising players, the managers,. I always hope for an upward turn in things, but.. . Danny, I'm sorry to say is very average. Have I enjoyed watching kasper for too long? I dont know, but what I do know, is kasper won us some amazing games with his keeping. I dont see Danny ever doing that. The positioning for the 3rd Brighton goal was buffet keeping. Help yourself.

Danny Ward is Rodgers golden boy. He stated at the time we have two number 1s and bigged him up. Rodgers should get the sack for playing Danny Ward.
