He’s currently ranked the number one shot stopper in Ligue 1, and 4th overall after a terrible start to the season. He has 9 clean sheets and Nice has the 2nd least goals conceded.

I think he’s doing quite well tbf.

Doing well and enjoying it are two difference things, of course…

Agreed, watching the Nice highlights Kasper doesn’t seem as passionate as he was here.

If you want to see a masterclass in shot stopping, then watch the last couple of highlights of him.

I think the criticism he received earlier this season hurt him.

I seem to remember the last couple of years that he’s taken several games to get upto speed anyway. It’s like he’s sat eating crisps and drinking Pepsi all summer and forgets he’s supposed to start training again..

You joke, but you're actually pretty much on the money. He is apparently one of those who does struggle to keep the weight down though.

I was crying inside watching that reel 😢

Vichai would be fuming in heaven at how we let him just leave without even a proper sendoff let alone finish up his legendary career at our club. Some heads need to roll regarding how this was handled. Proper cock up!

Probably one of the biggest mistakes since the new owners took over ….not giving him whatever he wanted was ridiculous - he was a massive voice in the dressing room as well as still a top keeper…..we would be where Brighton and Fulham are were he still here ——should have been retiring here and integrating the new keeper in 2-3 years time as it is we have a massive problem position

I have been waiting for Rudkin's head to roll for years...  Will never happen.

To be fair, he wasn't playing as good as this for us before he left.

Given that he's just played about 19 games for Nice and that the reel does contain a fair amount of saves, it does seem like Kasper is back to his prime.

How much is he getting in Nice?

Not sure it's public knowledge, but some sources on the web say £65k p/w?

Half what he was earning here.

You wonder where we'd be with Kasper in goal rather than Ward.

Even if he was a mute, on shot stopping alone, we'd have at least 9-10 points more.

We all saw how things went to shit after we conceded the first goal last week, imagine if we had a keeper that can keep us in the game.

Kasper was bang average before he left so let's not pretend we'd be a different team with him.

If Kasper was bang average, what on Earth is Ward?

We offered to extend his contract on less money , normal for a player of his age. He turned it down. What we were not prepared to do was splash out £30 million or so on another goalkeeper of his class. This is all down to the club. In the end we will have to spend big money and pay a substantial salary.

Not sure he is number one, 3rd highest save average. & Joint 5th for 8 clean sheets so far. Certainly hit a good run of form, maybe being linked with a move to Bayern Munich added more confidence to his game in recent weeks.
