But history has shown that if the price is right it's worth a punt. Bowen has made the leap well. That Vardy lad also. I remember Matty Elliot was constantly overlooked as folk thought him too slow for the Prem - fools the lot of them!!!

Obviously it will be a low fee, but he should be like a 5th/6th signing of a window in terms of expectation, after you've brought in your key immediate targets. Instead people are going to be expecting him to be a key player straight away...Partly because of a lack of signings, and partly because we have nothing going forward out wide except for Barnes. But I doubt we're considering him anyway, we're probably after someone valued at £15-20 million who has scored 2 goals in the last 3 years and is 29. 1
