We should be making at minimum one of these type of signings every summer. You saw the lift KDH gave us and the lift Bowen gave West Ham. Justin you could say the same thing, if he gets a consistent level to his performances when he was at his best before his injury.

It's far more logical than the £30 million on Perez, or the £15 million on Vestergaard. Signing players with nothing to prove nearly always fails, at least for a Club of our size. Plus, as a Championship player, he will be on a low end Premier League wage until his second contract. Going away from this type of player is what has caused our huge wages.

I wouldn't mind if we never signed anyone from a Premier League team again. Unless their contract's nearing its end or there's some sort of clause drastically bringing the price down there's so little value in it, stupid transfer fees and stupid wages.

Our record of signing from the football league or developing our own players via the football league has been decent in recent years. Chilwell, Barnes, KDH, Justin, Ulloa, Maddison had all been signed from or had been developed in league one or the championship. No one can tell me that we couldn't have recruited a centre-back from the championship who is more suited to us than Vestergaard, or a winger that would have put up better numbers than Perez for that matter.

...I do not think Perez was brought in to be a winger, just somewhere to shoehorn him into the team!!!

Absolutely, imagine if we’d gone for Bowen at the time we went for Perez. Much lower cost and lower risk.

Scored tonight

Good sign because he didn't take the initial chance but reacted so quickly and was great finish.

So funny. Some posters: “not good enough for us”

Forest are in for him: “we’re missing out”

😂

FWIW - spoke to some Blackpool fans about him last season and they said he had good pace and skill but inconsistent end product and weren’t sure if he was good enough for the PL.

That's changed this season then. Regularly finding the net and would. He would be perfect for us and our system. Would give us balance on the right as he likes to do what Barnes does the other side. Cut in on stronger foot and cross or shoot. We currently don't have that and it hampers us so much.

Not exactly an exclusive Club.

This guy is worth a try even if he is a medium pacer. Give the finger to the florist.

I remember a lot of folk on her writing Bowen off when we were linked to him because of hos lack of pace.

I agree. I like the look of this fella.

Some of the best wingers in history have not been rapid whereas we can all name a few who are lightning quick but lack any end product. At that price looks worth a punt.
