I know they've had mixed fortunes.... but they weren't total unknowns! Nope. Fair enough to those that do, but I literally watch zero football from other countries apart from the summer international tournaments. I also suspect a lot of well-intentioned opinions are formed by how good somebody is on Fifa rather than spending weekends watching a marathon of Portuguese, Dutch, French, German and Italian matches...! mozartfox Posted 29 August 2022 Posted 29 August 2022 This is the new LCFC model. Sell your young talent and replace with older players no one else wants. We are the Sewage Farm of the EPL (soon to be the Championship if we are note smart). Is he any better than what we have ??
Nicolo Barella Posted 29 August 2022 Posted 29 August 2022 Akanji is not bad, but if we were to sign him I would sincerely hope he was not on much more than Soyuncu.
Ric Flair Posted 29 August 2022 Posted 29 August 2022 Read the opinions from Dortmund fans if you haven't your own judgement of an overseas player, they pretty much all hate him. If that's not enough to sway you then look at his injury record. It's just not worth the small chance of him doing reasonably well here because here's the real jackpot moment, the lad has been demanding £150k a week to sign a new deal at Dormund. I couldn't pick a worse transfer target for us I don't think. 1

RonnieTodger Posted 29 August 2022 Posted 29 August 2022 Fofana sale feels like a watershed moment. One of the last gems that we’ve found and being linked with duffers to replace. Hopefully Akanji rumours aren’t true

Lambert09 Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 Huge relief. Please please please dont be that poster, that talks about how we should have signed him because he looks good for Man City. Big Dans little brother would look good for Man City and he works at a burger king in Copenhagen
Ric Flair Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 Wow, what on earth is baldylocks up to there. 1
st albans fox Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 fook me - using lcfc to get man city on the hurry up !!

Maybe pep doesn’t get everything right, bearing in mind he’s spent over half a billion on defenders… maybe they’ve got quite a few injuries and just need some numbers?
Ric Flair Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 This going hot will panic a few on here until they open for a surprise. 4
lcfc_forever Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 LOL, this is brilliant given the feedback on the forum about Akanji.

They’ll soon start to realise the actual market we’re in as a club, the reality is no where near their own entitled expectations. I expect meltdowns when we don’t sign the players they demand, the ones they easily signed on football manager sitting on their spotty arse.

GingerrrFox Posted 30 August 2022 Posted 30 August 2022 The difference is Pep doesn’t really have to worry about how his centre backs defend. They keep the ball for the majority share of the game and high press teams to win it back, he’s bothered about him being left footed and his ability to play out from the back, unfortunately we don’t have the same luxuries. 1
