No one wondering why West Ham are wanting to get rid, after he's had a good season and they've already lost defensive numbers?

Aguerd is out until November (so basically January) basically means they have no CB back up really.

Our next manager might not play a high line like Rodgers.

West Ham don’t want to get rid, Dawson is leaving because he wants to move back North apparently.

He was one of West Ham’s best players last season so hopefully he still has a couple years left in him :fc:

Fair enough

one thing going for this deal is that he has scored against us for two different clubs - that usually means we don’t bother to scout a player and just buy them if they’re offered to us ….

Bade... Badiashile...Dawson.... Dawidowicz... Denayer....Diallo...  Twitter seems to be linking us to every CB going in alphabetical order.

Injured, could be back available at the weekend

When he’s not injured, does he not start for them? I thought he was one of their main centre backs.

Moyes want to keep him, he wants out

always rated Dawson, probably more for his scoring ability. A short term solution that i wouldnt say no to. However we should still be looking at another CB if possible

He's better than Amartey, Soyuncu and Vestergaard. If it's a 2 year deal max then it probably makes sense.

It would be harder for him to get back into the starting line up now after coming back from injury

They already have Zouma and Ogbonna, have signed Kehrer and Aguerd (injured until Nov), and are looking to sign someone else as well

Good solid player who is better than what we currently have.

I'd hope he'd be one of two incoming, but if he joins a rival seems like the sort of player I could imagine regretting not having as the season goes on.

He’d be a great short term solution was good for West Ham last season.

said in another thread we need a defender that is good at defending. I know that sounds like a daft thing to say, but it’s not all about being flash.

Very true. Huth & Morgan did exactly this. Good, old school defending.

This signing would be further proof that we have lost all ambition. Not sure how much more bad or underwhelming news I can hear about Leicester City this summer. There is not even a glimmer of positivity or hope.

Our current option is Amartey or an out of favour/checked out Soyuncu, give me Dawson any day of the ****ing week

You’ll be wanting Amartey to start if we end up getting the Watford version instead of the West Ham version.

Wouldn't be against this as an Amartey/Cags replacement but surely not as Fofana's except perhaps to delay replacing him for another window or 2.

Sad state of affairs when you think Craig Dawson could come in and we’d improve. What have we become!

Almost never gets beaten in the air , ah the good old days , if you thought you could catch Walsh and Elliott out at corners - forget it.
