I am firmly in the Rodgers out camp and have been since Forest away last season, you’ve all probably seen my rants about Rodgers but I genuinely think he’s taking us back.

However, as per topic title, can Rodgers win you back over? Or is it too far gone? And if there’s a chance he could, what’s it going to take? (be realistic).

Almost certainly not in a realistic sense, but I'd never say never.

He'd need to have a full damascene conversion complete with mea culpa though. Along with the small matter of making us play less like crap on the pitch, so I'd say the chances are pretty slim.

I figured there wouldn’t be a lot of support for this.

In my head to even make me rethink his position it’s got to be:

- full public apology to club and fans for comments

- admission of his errors in both tactics, selections and comments

- drop the ego and the “better than thou” attitude

- drastic rethink in playing style (adapt/evolve/drop this current possession based football)

- resolve player unrest and instil confidence back in the team.

- upturn in results (decent run of wins or positive results)

Maybe then it would get me thinking could he be forgiven and afforded more time. Do I think he can do it? Probably not

Absolutely not. There will be no drastic change in our tactics or performances. The last 2 years of stubborn management and deteriorating performances have proved that. As long as he darkens our door, it will be more of the same. Blokes a prized twat.

...he will go to another club and have a positive approach to the group!!!

He needs to change his dogmatic approach to the game and become flexible in how he sees the game because at the start he was. Tunnel vision takes over and you continue to push your ideas and you are not looking to move away from your style of play..

It can be turned around, he has to get the players onside, but that will take a bit of honesty and being real. There is just something about him that screams cannot be trusted, you feel it when you look at him, he is probably an ace manipulator, I just do not trust him.

This is all relative in my opinion as opinions on players and staff are as fickle as the wind and general consensus can shift at the drop of a hat. In general though, I'd be happy with Rodgers being a bit of a tosser in front of media if results start to pour in again.

There's certainly decisions we can fairly level at Rodgers in terms of some of his tactics and team choices that are hard to understand. However, there's probably a lot at the club we aren't in a position to fully appreciate and are making assumption that Rodgers bears the majority of the blame for things such Soyuncu not featuring (which I'm pretty convinced is an issue that mainly lies with Soyuncu, whether that be an issue of confidence or a desire to move).

Everyone has the capacity to have rough patches at work where you aren't motivated and just because he's being paid a lot of money doesn't take away from the fact that he's just as likely to be fed up with the stick he gets online and at matches, that the club hasn't supported him with transfers and a defence that has looked as leaky as a sieve no matter what he tries (and some of the odd choices may have been made in that desparation).

Just in the same way a season or two ago I'd have been happy to see the back of Maddison for a slump in form, I'm quite happy to admit I was short sighted at the time and that he just needed time to see himself right. Perhaps Rodgers is just the same. Perhaps he just needs a little luck (and maybe less overthinking) and with time he'll be right. Could be that Faes and the set piece coach start to give a solid spine to the team again.

Of course he can, I don't think we will but if we went on another 6/7 game winning run then the brendan in/out poll would be back up to 80 percent in.

With the break in football for the Queen then an international break he's got a unique opportunity to work with the players on the training ground and reset his tenure here.

I'd be shocked if he turned it round btw but the opportunity is there.

I'm not Rodgers in but football is a mental industry and winning matches hides a multitude of sins.

Of course he could, if he wins the next 5/6 in a row then you can see he can turn bad spells around and his comments in the press would be forgotten. But the likelihood of us actually doing that is minimal I feel. It does feel like he’s lost the dressing room and just wants someone to pull the trigger for his payout. Unfortunately I can’t see him turning this bad spell round and it’s been going on for longer than this season, I think if the games are postponed this weekend it gives us a better chance at resetting properly but I think it’s just gone stale and probably best for both parties to call it a day

There are three questions that need to be answered: will we play another game before Forest, how many managerial openings there end up being and if one of those clubs want him as a result of the Tuchel domino falling, and can we afford the £10M to sack him?

If we don't play until Forest and can afford the sack might as well do it as soon as possible. It's going to be like having an entire pre-season without the transfer window drama. If someone wants him let them take him. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a cost the club doesn't want to ensue right now.

Results heal all wounds. I would want to be comfortably midtable by the World Cup break after 14/16 games.

As pathetic as it is for Brendan to blame us, the fans, for Ward being a bombscare when passed to it's not blasphemy. We're not above reproach. We're a bunch of savages calling for his head. He's been sung you're getting sacked in the morning at since Stockport. If you can't take it don't dish it out.

...he repeats these problems wherever he goes, it is part of him and his approach to coaching!!!

This would be a major slump, as it has continued for about a year. Maddison needed a mentor, he was having little patches where he excelled but it was not consistent. He just needed to sit down and pay attention to his craft, Grealish had gone to Man City for £100m and he (Maddison) had left him in the second tier and was now playing in the Premier League.

Apparently, he went and spoke to Rodgers who said to him the same thing that I had said, it was not hard to see what he needed to improve his game. Faes looks good, a defender that wants to defend with his body and will be effective, I have said for a long time that Rodgers needed someone to come in and work beside him, I am not sure just how much input Rodgers will allow him to have. By the sound of things, this could be a club appointment as opposed to someone hand-picked by Rodgers.

Of course. I want him out because the results and performances are shit, he's obviously had enough and is acting like a bellend in the media, and likewise the players also seem to have had enough of him. If all those things were to magically change and it became clear that not only was he capable of getting the best out of the players and resources at his disposal but was fully committed to doing so, then I'd be on board again, but realistically that's not happening is it?
