A mate asked before the game what the score would be. I said we’d lose by 4-5 and Kane would score a hatrick - turns out all I got wrong was the scorer of the hatrick.

 

When it got to 4-2 you could bet your house it would be 5 or 6. It’s disgraceful and it’s happen time after time.

 

We got rid of Claudio when relegation looked like it was on the cards, and he won us the title. Thanks for the cup Brendan but please leave if you have any integrity.

That's the most annoying part. He feels ripped off that the club isn't the renegade pretender that was sold. He feels conned that he was led down the garden path if summer transfers. So, resign. He can afford to resign. But he won't. He wants his money or, it seems, is happy to crash the plane with all the passengers in it. (Not like the decent micky Adams, resigned without a pot to piss in)

 

Absurd unbalanced shapes. No substitutions. Ward/Iversen debacle. Thomas. His hatred of Mendy, Kels, Castagne,  Cags and Praet. Playing Soumare for no discernable reason. Etc. Etc.

If I can take a positive out of today, some of our attacking was alright. Maddison the biggest positive. 

 

Other than that, utterly shocking collapse. Especially at a time when we looked to be still in the game. 

 

Conte changed things. Their subs were better. Their shape was stronger. They were less clumsy. We lost our belief that we could score again.

We were okay for 60 mins, as per a few games this season. However, we were terrible the last 30 mins, as per every game this season. Awful defending, terrible tactically and so open in transitions along with poor set piece management. Rodgers stays and we are definitely down as no better than derby in their record season.

 

We evidently have no stamina past 60 mins, which we need to sort and then we need to hopefully get a manager that can keep is in the league
