I genuinely think there's a chance now, which is mental with this group.

Rodgers is accepting it, the board are accepting it and the majority of match going fans are accepting it. Embarassing.

Every person applauding the players and showing an acceptance of the current situation are also accountable at this stage.

The amount clapping them off yesterday was insane wasn’t it

I only read about it all this morning as I was in Nottingham enjoying a few beers and watching Coalville :D

I just can't believe people are turning up and accepting the state and downward trajectory the club is currently on. It blows my mind.

That would depend on the club. If it was a club that had been top half the last few years we'd probably be saying 'be hilarious if they went down but they won't...'

Remind me of Leeds 2001 making the champions League semi final and then 2004 getting relegated.

If we sack Rodgers before we're >6pts adrift, no.

Our squad is absurdly strong relative to our position, there's some absolute muck in this league and the middle of the table is insanely congested with teams taking points off each other all over the place.

If he goes before the end of this month then I still wouldn't rule out us finishing around 10th / 11th tbh.

I made the foolish decision to go city instead of Coalville, looked a great day out mate. Hopefully get a good draw tomorrow night

As of right now we are down and out. We can’t hold onto a lead and we can’t beat the teams we should be beating.

A change in manager and approach if made within the next 2 games might save us but the owners stubborn spoilt nature will see to it that doesn’t happen.

You can see it in the faces. Thousands of bored fans sat there almost like drones. Its quite sad actually.

Its because we’ve had so much recent success and our fans are a pessimistic bunch naturally so many will feel this is the natural price we are having to pay for the good times we’ve had.

It says it all when the ones that dare to dream are demonised.

They usually say 10 games in gives you a bit of an idea where you are going to be bar either an extreme turnaround of form or a complete collapse.

It certainly isn’t looking good at the moment.

Will Rodgers turn it around, I’m unsure, unless things have been agreed for investment in the playing squad in Jan.

The real worry is when teams in the bottom 6/8 start scrapping for there lives in the New Year, I will start to worry more as we just don’t have any fight in us at all by the looks of things at the minute.

Voted yes as Rodgers looks set up until Wolves at least and then a new gaffer will have Man City to contend with. 3 more after that then. So 15 games gone at WC interval and I think at a push 9 points on the board.

Leaves us needing 33 to be sure from 23 which is top 8 form. This squad doesn't possess that quality now.

It's too late now in my opinion. The club is rotten from top to bottom. Players don't want to be here, owner looks unhappy, fans disgruntled, manager should have been sacked 4 games ago, but we don't seem to be able to afford to. Weaknesses in the team not addressed and haven't been for a few seasons now.

Finances in a complete mess by the sound of things.

I know we've played some of the bigger teams, but we've also played Brentford, Palace, Notts forest and Southampton at home and taken just 5 points from those. Really you would be looking to take 8 from those. Add to that that we don't look able to even get a point away from home.

The only (sort of) positive spin I can put on this is that Newcastle under Benitez a few years ago had 3 points from their first 10 games and Crystal Palace had 4 points from 11 games in the season where Roy Hodgson came in. Both stayed up relatively comfortably in the end. The situation is still very much salvageable, but we need to act very quickly.

This week we have a chance to get into the group and get some confidence.  1st opportunity missed, Palace were worse than I thought but actually that's because they seemed to lack ambition and we weren't that bad.  Unfortunately Madders didn't have a good day, and generally we just didn't have the quality to scrat the 1-0 we needed, big opportunity missed.

Now leaves it to Leeds and Wolves, minimum requirement 4pts and ideally 6. 0-3 and yes we are in v big trouble, detached and tougher fixtures back, we have to get the best out of this week, and it could have started better, and that becomes a much bigger mountain with no Maddison.

This is how it looks unfortunately, and I hope it's salvagable, a new manager is a quick win, and might be enough to regroup and stay up, but suspect, even that may not be enough if BR stays a match longer, truly agonising how we're in this position, and allowing  the rot to continue untreated.

The club needs a new manager who everyone can get behind - club, players, fans.  Without this then relegation is a sting possibility.  Top is sleep walking in to this; I can't believe he wants to flirt with such a backward step after everything vichai did for us all.

I can't believe there would genuinely be people who don't think we're down at this stage.

Everything that could go wrong is going wrong and all the solutions to our problems are not being acted on.

18th would be an achievement right now.
