lcfc_forever Posted 4 January 2023 Posted 4 January 2023 Read we turned down the opportunity to sign him previously as he didn't fit our style of play. Shame we didn't do the same with Vestergaard! 2
Lambert09 Posted 4 January 2023 Posted 4 January 2023 obviously i don’t want this, but if it was him on loan or michael keane… i’d take jones every time. He’s the type of player that will end up at a team in the relegation battle and surprisingly keep them up.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 4 January 2023 Posted 4 January 2023 Got a surprisingly good singing voice, other than that I’m not sure what he’d bring. 2

Won't stop it going to numerous pages of people moaning about how he isn't good enough, a typical Rodgers signing and that Top should step down.

Nick Posted 4 January 2023 Posted 4 January 2023 I'd take Phil Collins to be fair at this moment in our CB stakes.

That’s a big if, but he could quite easily have a Smalling esque comeback so you’re saying we should sign your dad, except he’s not fit? 1
Sly Posted 4 January 2023 Posted 4 January 2023 Evans wasn’t rated by the Old Trafford fans. He’s done okay for us. Maguire was a good player for us. He’s been hounded by the Old Trafford fans and labelled a fridge. Smalling has moved to Roma and been a revitalised player. Jones was / is a decent player, that has been so injury prone we’ve not seen him for a sustained period. He’s only played 24 Premier League games since the 17/18 season though. Is he an upgrade on Amartey, 100%. 2
CrispinLA in Texas Posted 4 January 2023 Posted 4 January 2023 Remember when Erik ten Hag kicked him out the 1st team dressing room to make room for his new signings. Reading what ManU supporters have said....they have seen the leech for months

gerrytaggart Posted 5 January 2023 Posted 5 January 2023 Absolutely unreal if we can pull this off. 2

We tried to sign Brazilian striker Wagner Love on transfer deadline day, but the deal wasn't completed before the window shut because you can't hurry Love

Guest TaggertvsWise Posted 7 January 2023 Posted 7 January 2023 I like Jones. He has something to prove.
Sly Posted 7 January 2023 Posted 7 January 2023 Injuries has ruined him. Pre injury, he was a much better player than any of our centre backs, including Evans at a similar age. Evans has got better with age and experience. Get Phil Jones fit and he’s a bloody good player. I think the fans would take to him, as he’s the player that puts his body on the line. If anyone ever needs a laugh, go and dig out the Wes Morgan thread when we were signing him. He got dogs abuse.
elvisfmcfly Posted 7 January 2023 Posted 7 January 2023 If we do sign him we should just fold the club and forget about it. That’ll be the last straw for me and I’ll quit football for good. 2
