I just count ourselves lucky that we were able to keep Kasper for as long as we did. He was criminally underrated for the better part of his stay with us.

And so many on here demanded he go because he couldn't come for a cross. He was so much more than just a great keeper. A man with backbone, presence who got defenders taking responsibility who suffered no fools, who demanded concentration from the back line. A leader, vocal and forthright.

I know we have injuries but Brendan has made good players into shadows of their former selves - Soyunchu, Kelechi, Wilf, Praet

 

He's brought in utter dross Vestergaard, Bertrand, Perez. Soumare 

 

Apart from KDH he's brought no body through the youth system (KDH was on his way as well before Brendan's arrival) . 

 

It's absolutely scandalous - Get rid and get rid quickly now

Nope it was 100% deliberate. Rodgers wanted to make a point of how little he’s been backed and how weak the squad is so he put an academy player who’s arguably not good enough in a position he’s never played in his life.
 

The result was Brunt was caught out for the goal that killed the game and Rodgers now has ‘now do you see what i’m working with’ excuse.

 

The most self serving managerial decision i’ve seen in all my time following the club. It wasn’t about winning the game or looking to get back into it, it was all about what would advance the interests of Brand Brendan.

The more you look at our defending from the midfield back the worse it gets. It is pathetic, slow, no desire to be first to the ball or any conviction to win a 50/50. Faes is caught out of position, Does Amartey even know what he should be doing. The players look lethargic, laboured. They don't look fit enough.

I got through most of a keg of ale during the game, but are recollections correct? I remember getting livid because we seemed not to be going in for 50/50 tackles, or jumping the ball etc. That’s unforgivable really. Utterly unacceptable i any game, let alone one like that.

Sad thing is you could improve the defence in house with Iversen and Soyuncu replacing Ward / Amartey. If only our manager wasn’t so stubborn

Lipstick on a pig. Amartey an ward are the least of our problems. The playing style, lack of motivation or confidence amongst the squad and general lethargy at the club need to change before a couple of minor improvements to the side. Besides, Soyuncu has already left the club in all but name. The announcement is the only thing left.
