Just when you thought you'd seen the last of Luke Thomas, guess who's nailed on for a run in the team when one of Ricardo or Castagne gets injured today?

He has had so many chances due to injuries but simply is not even close to good enough. Will be in L1/L2 after he leaves us.

The Seagrave effect.

It's got to do with Rodgers "methods". He runs his players into the ground

The pitches at Seagrave need looking at

I've heard they are being taken up in the summer and being replaced with a different grass/artificial mix. Not sure if true

Yes they do, been saying this myself. Look at the academy, it's ravaged more than the 1st team. Reece Evans and Logan Briggs have both got injured in the last 2 weeks as well.

Surely it must have a huge amount to do with it? Rodgers was here pre Seagrave wasn’t he? Not sure what our record was previously. :dunno:

Maybe he is ‘trying to fix things’ and doing damage though

Our injury record is pathetic and an absolute joke.  It needs looking into as to why there are always so many Injuries at the club. It cant be all bad luck.

We had a shit loads of injuries long before we moved. It’s Rodger’s and his shite team.

I’d understand if they were training on artificial pitches more regularly but I can’t believe that pitches at a facility such as Seagrave would have this effect on injuries. The majority of academy sides and first teams throughout the football league will be training on the equivalent of a car park in relation to what pitches will be at seagrave and I haven’t seen or are aware of anyone who has similar issues to us.

I’ve worked at an academy where we trained intensely on a combination of a farmers field and an outdated artificial pitch and maintained availability for training and games at above 90% for 3 consecutive seasons. I imagine it has a lot more to do with the practices that are employed throughout the club.

Huge loss, this. If 4 weeks is true, though he should only miss today and then the Chelsea and Brentford games. Palace is 4 weeks today so that could also be included.
