I’m gutted about this. I thought he was brilliant in our last game. The bow he did after scoring was reminiscent of Cambiasso’s in his last game. Did he know then? Or just a coincidence?

Ricky P can't even play one game and Madders isn't great on the wing

Maddison has been the (so called) right winger all season and in form of his life?..

We'd not have wanted to lose Morgan or Fuchs in 2020/21 though and they barely played.

In a season when we are a strong candidate to be relegated, losing a player of Albrighton's experience is pretty reckless.

At some point we have to move the old guard on, we have a total rebuild to carry out.

Not sure Albrighton is as much of a leader as those two.

Just logged on for the first time in hours and didn’t expect to see this. Feels so strange.

If it’s his decision, then fair enough.

If it’s anything else I’ll struggle.

Well Marc - you were a bargain signing from Villa despite the numbers you were doing there and have made an incredibly decent career for yourself here at Leicester. Feels more like losing a mate than a football player moving on to a different club. Good luck to you, Sharky Kev.

Makes me laugh. Nobody gave Rodgers any credit for the Christiansen or Tete signings but if a player leaves it's rodgers' fault 🤔

...on the contrary,  Rodgers has been putting distance between the club and himself regarding these acquisitions!!!

Legend..status.

one of our ever best team players…

Its hard when such players like Albrighton/ Schmeicheil go away in a whisper

Obviously not the player he once was, but I thought he’d done well when he got back into the side the past couple of games. Obviously scored vs Brighton and should’ve had an assist vs Forest after putting a beautiful ball through to put a chance on a plate for Barnes which he somehow missed.

Still one of the best players we’ve ever had. Maybe not in terms of pure talent, but there were years where we’d always look a much better side with him in and his work rate and pressing was amongst the best in the country and really helped put us on the front foot in games.

Will be shame if that’s it for him in a Leicester shirt and he just leaves without a proper send off like Kasper.

I’m not quite sure what you want the club to do. How could they be given a send off? Hopefully they will return to the club after they have retired and get a good reception.

Proper loyal club man as well, he's nearly 34 and has only played for Villa and us, apart from a loan with Wigan.

Mark Albrighton is a legend of the club, so underrated by the media but much loved by the fans. Scored our 1st ever champions league club. I hope he will come back so that we can give him a proper sent off.🏆

This is one I definitely don’t understand.

I can only presume his wage is deemed unnecessarily high for someone who isn’t getting enough game time to justify it..
