I really didn't expect him to settle in this quick! He's so composed and good on the ball. It's great seeing a player actually play it forward when there's the option to rather than killing all momentum.

Some boy ain't he

Him and Faes told just get in first and win the ball. If you can’t make it awkward as ****ing possible.

When Souttar delayed Son’s shot from Mendy’s bad pass, that’s proper defending without being flash

He will be a huge asset for his arial ability alone.

Weve basically got him on the cheap after injury. As we know in the premier league, if him and Kristiansen string 7 or 8 good performances together their value will more than double in no time at all.

I really like a footballer who talks well. He looks confident but not a dickhead.

He was brilliant yesterday. The best way to recruit players and improve your team is to improve on your weakest areas. With Souttar coming in for Amartey and Kristiansen coming in for Thomas, we've certainly done that.

Yeah I definitely agree with that.

I’m going to watch Souttar closely for the next few games. He’s a giant but he’s slow. Why I think this pairing could work is because Faes is quick.
Rashford will be a major test of Souttar I think. Rashford is rapid.
What I do like about Souttar so far is his positioning. A bit like Baresi, you don’t have to be too quick if you know where to position yourself. On this, and no pun intended, he’s head and shoulders above Amartey.

Cheerful post lol

Literally said he was so promising, just cautious how big injuries can affect players after we've had a fair few!

Am I missing something?

Faes is far from quick.

Fofana is rapid, Cags is fast but Faes gets done for pace on a regular basis mate.

If anything, I think Souttar covers the grass faster than Faes but would love a JJ type CB signing coming in who is blessed with pace to learn/come in etc.

Jury’s still out. Very very slow

Really? I thought he was fine today. He knows his limitations, so doesn’t try to over do things.

Take when Rashford had his shot blocked after his second. He slows him up enough to get fellow defenders back.
