...at this rate, it will not be too long before there is a Government inquiry regarding the proliferation of these injuries!!!

It is either down to poor practices without the strength and conditioning team or what had been posted some time ago by a poster on FT that it could be the surface we either train on or the configuration of the plastic-to-grass ratio that is causing these injuries.

It needs to be forensically investigated, we have an excellent pitch academy that needs to take a look at what we are producing and the game itself needs to take a look at itself.  The fact that clubs copy each other may be why it is so hard to pin down the reasons.

We’ll be ok after the Covid Fixture congestion has cleared up eh @StanSP

Why are you mentioning me?

This was brought on by a tackle in the Brighton game wasn’t it? Him, alves and Ricky all had theirs done through poor tackles. Hard the blame the club for those really.

He wasn’t tackled

But got the ball stuck under his leg when avoiding one and went over it

Ah yeah I remember it now. Point still stands that this was triggered by an event and not poor conditioning or training by the club like some are suggesting.

Or luck with injuries is absolutely ridiculous. How many ACLs' is this in the last few seasons?

I can't even remember that.

But what you have failed to take in to account (shock) is that I've accepted the fixture congestion now may not be the reason for all the injuries. Ergo, happy to accept I may have been wrong. At the time, it was a legitimate thought that it may have been the case. Since then, with injuries still occurring, I'm happy to admit that it isn't the reason now and there is perhaps a more fundamental issue at the club which does need looking at.

Might be hard for you to understand or comprehend that someone accepts they were wrong. Could be an alien concept to you but I'm happy to move on from it.

Bravo

I too will accept I’ve been proven wrong, when that time comes.

I still don’t believe Vardy is past it yet FWIW, so that may be the opinion I’ll be proven wrong on and I’ll happily hold up my hands

Poor lad. Well atleast he has company in Alvez to get through it together but yeh it’s weird how we seem to have 2 players out all the time with the same kind of injuries. Like a live injury carousel that never stops.
