Fair enough, I wouldn’t agree but if it’s what you observed. I’d say his only real error was not booking Saka for his persistent fouls and kicking the ball away.

You didn’t see the grappling, time wasting and throwing themselves to the floor every time there was tha slightest contact, all of which the ref failed to deal with?

Without madders, we’re relegation fodder.

I worry for next season if we are still in the prem. rebuilding a new team without a sort of spine is one hell of an undertaking. We need to do it early and effectively.

on this game, if that was a World Cup game it would have been 25minutes added time. Jorginho went down at least 4 times, 30 seconds for each sub with 8 subs made, Tielemens down and the time wasting. Refs really need to crack down on that. It ruins the game.

But we were poor and that is the upshot of it.

What do you mean no spine? We’ll have Ward, Soutter, Soumare, and Daka as our spine :(

Didn’t expect anything, didn’t get much. We actually stifled them quite well but didn’t have much going forward. The few promising situations were frittered away by dithering.

Without Maddison we don’t seem to have much. Hopefully he’ll be replaced by some young up and coming type at the end of the season.

I wasn’t expecting a win, but I did at least expect to see the fight & aggressive closing shown in the Spurs, & Man U first half. I don’t know why we didn’t get into them, and Rodgers & the coaching staff looked to be pretty frustrated on the sidelines too.

Strong Reaction against Southampton is needed to set the standard for the rest of the season now.

Swear Madders is the same though and never gets called out for it (because he's our best player)? The outside of the boot stuff looks flashy but is just because he doesn't want to use his left.

Difference is even if Madders uses the outside of his boot, he gets the pass off and complete. Usually a lot quicker than KDH.

Did think N’didi was good today. He looked back to his old self.

Really? I didn't see that. We are so limited with Ndidi. Yes he can put a tackle in. BUT that's all we get from him. No passing ability, cannot drive the ball forward. Mendy overall (especially at the moment) is a better option.

The ref has a big part in this game being the worst I’ve ever seen.

Those last 25 minutes was beyond a joke and I bet the ball was in play no more than 25% of the time and none of their players got booked.

The ref was an absolute joke letting Arsenal get away with shithousery!

We probably wouldn’t have created much more but the Arsenal time wasting and total lack of controlling it by the ref made that the worst game of football I’ve ever witnessed.

He did 0 interceptions and only had 60% tackle success rate yesterday too so I’m not even convinced his bread and butter was even that good yesterday. Not saying he was worse than anyone else as most were rubbish, but he looked far from “back to his best” for me. At his best he was an absolutely brilliant player, he wasn’t that yesterday.

Sick of KDH never using his right foot, the weakness for a player of his level is astounding. It’s holding up his development massively

It’s actually embarrassing seeing the opportunity to progress with a right footed touch being lost time and time again.
I don’t blame him as clearly he’s never had any kind of pressure to improve his right to be able to use it. It will definitely hinder him more and more but blame the academy for this one

The only real time wasting was the 28,000 Leicester fans that bothered to go to watch that shite. Its crazy we still get the attendances we do

...they are gone on 70 minutes, the nursing home has spotted dick at  Saturday teatime, can not afford to miss that!!!

There was absolutely nothing to like about the match experience yesterday

No bite

No quality

Poor team selection

Defeatist attitude from a manager who was unable to effect change

Big team bias referee

Shit atmosphere (understandable with what we got on the pitch)

Overpriced poor quality food

An acceptance of the loss/performance being ok because of their league position and quality

A total waste of time and a not inconsiderable amount of money

...you have to ask the question, why should you be looking at anything else from Ndidi!!!

If we use him as a safety valve, where we can just go forward, knowing we have the security of a player who reads the game well and is brave in his tackles, why would you be looking for him to support the transition or be on the edge of the opponents 18 yard box. He gives more technical and creative players a license to break forward, in this respect he gives the team more balance, as all the players are doing what they are good at.

I would suspect that this Rodgers flight of fancy, to turn Ndidi int a creation to say "look what I did." It has been some seasons now, let the experiment go.

I know what you mean, but JM does use his left foot and will shoot with it ( I seem to remember he has scored with it?). He also has a great first touch with both feet. The outside of the right boot stuff is because he knows he can pull that pass off with high consistency and it can catche the opposition out.
I really hope KDH can coach himself into using the right when needed. I can remember my mates in knockabouts and team mates in amateur football over 30 years who were lefties found to harder to use their right compared to righties who would sometimes use their left. Any lefties on here who can comment?
In my early 20s I started to deliberately train by using my left more, and during matches when I had space and time would run with the ball using my left, so much so that some team mates thought I was left footed ( or perhaps I was crap with both)!

Sums it perfectly. To make it worse my kids and I made our usual 4 hour round trip to watch that "performance". Complete waste of time, money and effort.

But seeing now that Rodgers basically said afterwards, "What can you expect against Arsenal?", has made me even more angry to be honest. I watched Villa v Arsenal on TV a week ago and Villa really pushed them all the way, the same Villa side that we beat 4-2.

I hate how Rodgers runs down our own players in interviews to take the pressure off himself. Can't imagine anyone in the dressing room wanting to run through a brick wall for a man saying stuff like that. Anyone who has managed people in any walk of life knows how this kind of thing undermines confidence and destroys morale.

Feels like any bounce from the arrival of the new players has dissipated already. Dreading the Southampton game tbh.

I think if Maddison is out nacho should play 10.

There is a strong argument to play a different formation. Our wingers again were completely impotent or invisible and our striker left isolated.

It might be 60% but he was the only guy I seen make a few tackles.

He looked like the Ndidi of old for me. All I want the guy to do is be the destroyer and make simple passes.

We drive down from Bingley West Yorkshire which is a 6 hour round drop. It costs us around £100 plus the match tickets and I expect more from the players to justify my time and expense. Unless it changes I can use my time more profitably. Feel like sending them an invoice !!!!

Please get a grip. No one is forcing you to go. Yes, yesterday was crap. But Spurs two weeks ago was wonderful. These days, without Maddison, we are a very ordinary side.

You decide how to use your time. “Justify my time and expense”. Dear Lord, it’s fookin Lestah not a trip to Curry’s.

Trossard winning a high ball between Ndidi, Faes and Souttar second half was very symbolic of our performance. Ndidi brought nothing to the game. Which hurts to say.
