Potter needs to take a break, he's not going to jump straight over to us. Yeah and I'm sure we will be hiring a manager to keep us up....... I'm just saying worst case scenario hiring him could make sense on either situation. Better than getting Rafa on an 18 month deal then going down with him

Highly unlikely we will get a manager for a long term vision to come in now, and doubt any short term fixes like Rafa will want anything less than an 18 month deal. He knows the league, he's a long term option if we stay and up tbh, if he was to take us down then he has a chance to rebuild with us too. He did well with Swansea at that level and then took Brighton from relegation battlers to top half PL. Got McBurnie bagging 20 league goals, bloke deserves a knighthood

Yeah that’s what I remember. Created a lot but couldn’t score. We actually have good goalscorers but under Rodgers were lucky to create more than 1 chance a game. Aleksz Posted 2 April 2023 Share Posted 2 April 2023 Part of me says it’s not very often a manager wants to take another job straight after getting sacked. But another part of me says this all seems a bit too convenient and fishy - get the impression the club have heard early on the grapevine about Potter’s sacking and/or that he’d be interested in us and have actually acted quickly.

Guesty Posted 2 April 2023 Share Posted 2 April 2023 Take Potter all day. His teams have struggled with goals but Chelsea have a midfielder up front and the best Brighton had was Maupay. His xG has been good at both clubs. He doesn't just play one way, he changes tactics multiple times throughout a game depending on how it's going. I wonder if Chelsea have sacked him because they knew we were big fans of him and can see it isn't working out. Maybe they like him enough to give him this chance. But he has looked a broken man recently. Which is a worry. But he'd be really good for a rebuild.

lgfualol Posted 2 April 2023 Share Posted 2 April 2023 No way he joins 19th placed Leicester. Maybe if we stay up. We'd score even less than now though. Every Potter side cant score unless they play us.
Blanchflower78 Posted 2 April 2023 Share Posted 2 April 2023 Whilst I would be happy with Potter I'm not sure it happens before summer if at all. Only concerns would be similarities to Rodgers style.
