I would be surprised if Potter is not considered. Failure at Chelsea doesn't mean a huge amount IMO and he did well at Brighton without a lot of money which will appeal to the board. I should imagine he might want a rest rather than going from the frying pan into the fire!

Potter’s sides are too soft. It’s more of the same ponderous ‘controlling’ football. He’d probably keep us up by virtue of not being Brendan Rodgers but long term 5atb and slow build up isn’t the right direction.

Admittedly Brighton we’re going well before he left but De Zerbi’s done more with the same players.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence his teams chronically underperform their xG at this stage.

De Zerbi has just continued the same trajectory no? I thought Potters sides created a lot of chances but struggled to score. To me that doesn't seem like a tactical issue, more of a coaching one which admittedly he has to hold some responsibility for that aswell

If Chelsea go for Rodgers I will HOWL.

Nagelsmann has been heavily linked.

I’d be delighted with potter but doubt he’d fancy a relegation battle

He's spent most of his time at Brighton in one.

No he isn't but we should be looking to firefight now and try to recruit permanently in the summer anyway unless a top class option is available now.

I'd be more incline to take Potter if we'd already survived but people seriously want to him to leave Chelsea after a disastrous six months and immediately come here to fight relegation?

I agree, having sat back and thought about it, I'm actually not sure that this would be the ideal time to get Potter in.

Anyone who would say no to Potter right now is crazy.

Absolutely. I’m not holding my breath as I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants a break after Chelsea but if he’s game it’s pretty ideal for us.

No brainer.

Get him in

Get Potter in.

Got Brighton into the top 6 without a proper striker. Chelsea has aged him by 40 years but maybe he just needs a mid range club not a Super League madhouse.

Putting aside Potter at Chelsea I suspect a lot of our fans would be keen on him based on Swansea and Brighton record. Perhaps he was good manager at wrong club at Chelsea

Something about Potter bothers me. He’s cut from the same cloth as Rodgers.

Albeit a significantly bigger piece of cloth.

Mourinho for a third term at Chelsea.

Go on, you know you want to.

This is a Leicester forum you melt.

Look at it a couple of ways, he could go I need a break etc… or he could think Leicester have a chance of staying up look at the fixtures and then I get the chance to put my stamp on it in the summer.

also he may think they have stuck with a manager  who has had a rough season so I might get some patience.

I'm not saying we're in a position to be choosy and I'd take Potter out of desperation and fear of the shit otherwise available but we're kidding ourselves if we think this is some sort of divine intervention and not a sideways pass from Brendanball.

I completely agree. I think he is a better man in terms of accepting negative responsibility however.

It's not the Potter show like Rodgers enjoys the limelight.

I do feel they have a similar style however and our squad doesn't suit possession based football, it never has!
