I always went against the grain on here and didn't want Rogers sacked but that was because I didn't want a shithouse manager like Benitez or Nuno. Little did I know that the reality was even worse. Jesus H Christ the club is a complete shambles.

It’s almost like they eventually sacked Rodgers to stop the negativity of Protesting  fans on Vichai’s birthday and turning it from a celebration of the big man’s life to a Throng of negative protesting towards Rodgers?

How many chances did they have? Yet we’ll still have the contracted King Power boot licking squadron telling us how grateful we should be. Once again, no football people running the football club.

When has this strategy ever worked at other clubs fighting relegation. Surely getting an experienced manager who can regalvanise the team is our last hope? Sort it out ffs!

Latest odds according to oddschecker, seem shorting that the last time I checked. I thought Potter rejected us? Is this based on anything tangible or just based on bets placed by punters?

I really think we need to sort out an interim appointment this week. Perhaps if there had been an immediate bounce last night I may have waited. The problem is that the more grim the situation gets the less likely anyone is going to want to come in and risk relegation on their CV. The whole season has rested on a feeling that the squad is good enough and somehow we will turn this around with no thought about a plan B.

Gambling with the potential future of the club by sticking a goalkeeping coach in charge for 9 games :nono:

But on the upside it should greatly improve our chances of picking a goalkeeper in goal which will be a nice change of pace.

Want a young n upcoming manager who can build us again.  Michael Carrick would be a good option.

They'll be the division above us next season so I can't see that happening

We're down then I fear. The players all seem dejected and shit, two coaches that have been here the entire time wont make much difference. Especially a goalkeeper coach who did wonders with Ward.... not.

Potter has apparently turned down the chance to join us immediately. He hasn’t necessarily turned down the job from the summer onwards. I think those odds are for the permanent role, not the interim one.

I’ve stated it before, it wouldn’t be a popular choice, and a lot of fans would want someone far more glamorous and experienced. Go and get Michael Duff from Barnsley, he’d be on next to nothing, and he’s not going to turn down the option to come to a club like ours from there. He demands standards, doesn’t take any shit, and is a very good man manager in getting the club aligned from top to bottom. He plays good football, strong defensive base and has players from all over the pitch scoring from Barnsley. He might not keep us up but he’d be best placed to rebuild the foundations of a club that is about to go through a shit storm and have to be tight on the purse strings.

It would be a gamble but we need someone who has experience in the game, could drive the standards and wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg when we’re very likely to be going into financial uncertainty.

Sorry to harp on but Chris Wilder is all that, plus he has a successful season in the Prem under his belt

Announce Wilder!!!!!

Tanner saying Sadler and stowell until the end of the season is the plan.

It’s a no from me.

Unbelievable, I can't believe despite watching the shit we've witnessed for the last 18 months they've done seemingly zero planning for the eventuality he would need sacking. I mean, perhaps they have and it's all long term options that won't come now... but at least have backup plans in place FFS.

I think there is more to the story re Top selling up? That's the only fathomable reason re interim manager or to keep Stowell/ Sadler on. God knows!

Well, if I owned the club I would make a special offer to a special man.

Make an offer to Nige.  750k to keep the club in the top flight and a subsequent contract to be agreed. .  If you fail will give you 100k and part company.

Think he would come up with the goods.

Benitez odds slightly shortening.

At this point we just need an interim specialist that is a big name and hugely respected that everyone will give 150% for and lift performances instead of 50% effort.

similar to playing sunday league and you spot Alex Ferguson watching from the side lines and you some how manage to play out your skin and run through brick walls.

i dont know who this person is but there is no point bringing someone in with a long term plan for the next 8/9 games.

the 2 in charge of last night are not the answer.

Maybe they’d bring shakey in to help them? But still awful awful planning.

starting to think a lack of care and attention is happening now. As some else said there is something in the selling the club thing.

I would be quite happy if whoever comes in gets rid of most of the coaching staff. They've been here too long, Stowel for one. We need new faces and a different approach, new idea's maybe. Oh, and Rudkin, his stranglehold on this club needs breaking.

We have 9 games but 3 against City, Liverpool and Newcastle. So arguably 6 realistically and probably need to win 4 of those.

It ain't happening guys for a side that's lost 18 in 29 so far.

I'm not sure how this helps sell your asset.

The big issue here IMO is that King Power hold the purse strings, and Top cannot make big financial decisions without board approval. I wouldn't be shocked if the board have ruled out large investment now, they don't have the passion for it like Top and his dad did. I thought it was odd when he personally leant the club money, rather than it being KP... and that would play into it. He might be operating with his hands tied.
