There was a couple of year period where we spent about 7/8th most and did it through getting the best up and coming players like Madison and Maguire and operated in that size of the market. West Ham and Villa were going through a big transition. It was hailed some kind of inconceivable achievement (probably because of the title win just before). But in reality the silly fees teams paid us for some players allowed us to be that best of the rest and it was never a sustainable operation. 

 

We royally ****ed it up by getting relegated and it's been run like a shit show. But it's silly to pretend we were ever doing anything amazing. We were in such a unique position because of sales like Maguire. I think we probably have to accept we won't ever get back to where we were.

What have we been doing for the last 3 years?

 

1. Can't find a replacement for vardy,

2. an improvement on vesty when we know he struggles with pace

3. No set piece improvements personal

4. Bought in bench warmers of skipp, Édouard and awey

5. Spent some summers buying no one 😂

I'd love to know if there's ever even been so much as an awkward conversation between Top and Rudkin.

 

I just can't comprehend how such abject failure can be so easily tolerated.

The big mistake was clearly appointing Cooper in the summer and the ensuing transfer business.

Rudkin clearly should have been sacked years ago, but he's been kept around to continue to wreak havoc due to the incompetence of King Power and is clearly unsackable as long as they own the club. Therefore if you want Rudkin out you should want King Power out too.

There is a lot of work to be done in January, probably very little funds, meaning you need an adept operator to move some out and some in - but Rudkin ain’t that bloke. Sadly.

He will carry on for as long as we let him, a few chants here and there will do **** all in terms of ousting him. Banners and full sections of noise for 90 minutes like Wolves did today will certain ruffle a few stubborn feathers.

 

He's one of those wormy individuals that gets his feet under the table and will stop at nothing to remain. He clearly doesn't give a **** about the fans, when in his near 10 years as DoF have you heard him speak publicly? As long as his lips are firmly locked onto where Tops cheeks meet and he's earning a nice cushy living, he's not bothered.
