was going to say the same about Spurs away & forest but also when  being 2 up first game V Brentford and he refuses to make more than 1 substitutions where Thomas Franck replaced half his team fresh legs and all, we were Knackered 5 more minutes at the end we’d have lost that game  !

Good point. Rodgers pretty much knocked all the teams confidence in pre season by saying the squad wasn't good enough and the fact that he started on the back foot hasn't helped our cause!!

Forest in the cup because I've never known of a side to concede 2 in 2 minutes twice in 4 days. The Spurs capitulation was one thing but to repeat it just 4 days later :dunno:. What was said between the two games, what work was done on the mentality, leadership, organisation, game management, it doesn't happen to the Dog & Duck "A" Team after a skinful the night before and for all the talk before the game it was as if the bear-pit atmosphere surprised and intimidated us. To be fair he did act afterwards and called out the players, Soyuncu in particular has been pretty much AWOL since and his desire to move on several was genuine even if it didn't materialise (you need clubs to come in and buy them) but it was a few days where our badge was devalued and the club became a laughing stock, he'd had 3 1/2 years to put some leaders and organisers into the team at that point.

Saturday takes some beating.

We were almost totally devoid of any game plan, tactics and motivation.

For pure shite - Forest in the cup and the 4 - 1 at West Ham last season was the real start for me of 'He's not up to the job'

Arsenal at home this season was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen on a football pitch

The Arsenal and Man City games where the strategy was to "Still be in the game" at 70 minutes and then "have a go".....

I'm just waiting for my 75% refund on those tickets, if I'd known about the strategy I could have rocked up to my seat at around half past four instead of watching a training drill for 70 minutes.

Never going to be one..

Last seasons give him carte Blanche..

This season...Every game we couldn't fight for a draw..especially for me,

Brighton they wiped the floor ,shit it up,and wiped us again in one match..

Not the Spurs game, for 88mins we played well..

Then..Every performance since New year..Southampton,Blackburn  & Palace were debacles ( please fit it right ending)..

I have said from 3rd game this season,I wanted him to go,that his last periods since FA.cup win he's failed at every chance to get any 2-3 game period of performance consistency & failed since then on all must win games chances & descisions of tactic.

What I never liked was a large minority of FTers going toxic, virile and making up agendas on His statements or Person.Where lies got in the way of facts..or just every Football-managers everyday claptrap & twaddle taken out of any context..

Since he joined us to now:

19/20

4-0 vs Liverpool on boxing day - we were pathetic

4-1 vs Bournemouth - probably the first sign we had it in us that our team had the ability to mentally collapse in spectacular fashion

20/21

Zorya away and both Slavia games - pathetic performances in which should have been a good chance for us to progress further in the competition

4-2 final day vs Spurs - chance to get Champions League football and we just let Gareth Bale walk through the team

21/22

1-0 vs Zorya away

3-2 vs Napoli - bloody Bertrand

3-2 vs Spurs - pathetic to be winning 2-1 in injury and somehow lose 3-2

4-1 vs Forest - pathetic

1-0 vs Roma - pathetic

22/23

2-2 vs Brentford - stupidly taking off KDH to lose the midfield battle

5-2 vs Brighton and 6-2 vs Spurs - Ward should’ve never played another game after these 2 matches

World cup onwards (other than Villa and Spurs) just so many pathetic performances

Word of the day is Pathetic

Pretty damning list there. Easy to forget just how long he had been phoning it in

This result gave Forest momentum and now look where they are, it’s sickening they are above us hopefully we can restore the gap and be above them sooner rather than later.

Now Rodgers has left the building wondering now if the ones running down their contracts other than Tielemans will now think twice about Moving on, I’m sure Madders loves it here and I do expect him to move on but wondering if the new boss offers him captaincy full time he may stay another season ?

A new era for the foxes is ahead of us I’m just hoping the board don’t just jump in blind and appoint the wrong manager that could replicate Rodgers Last season in charge, I don’t mind if they give us someone till the end of the season but not another manager who turns us into a shadow of our former selves.
I know some laugh at the likes of Pochettino coming in but if we were to and I now think we will survive the drop he can take us back to glory day’s rebuilding us into a quality side again and if Top & the board do manage to persuade and get him in I’m sure that a very decent war chest will be given to bring in some quality?

It’s not even extensive, either.

Newcastle at home 4-0 down, then we started trying with 5 minutes left and scored 2.

Villa in league cup where again it just felt like we didn’t want it enough. Which is such a common theme.

Another passive, pathetic game was the 1-1 against Norwich in December 2019. This was the first sign of his bizarre management - we are massively on a roll so he subs Iheanacho and leaves him on the bench for the rest of the season, he still ends up our top scorer.

We looked like we were playing for a draw in that game. He changed our style of play when we were doing amazing, for no reason at all. It went massively downhill after that and we never consistently looked that good again.

Posted

Second half against West Brom where he was disgusted after going 3-0 up in the first half, the moment 'control' fully took over. It's coming upto two years since that game and we've never really had a good run of results after that.

I'd forgotten about Brighton away this season, it was gob smacking how far behind them we'd fallen in such a short space of time, not just us to be fair but it was a wake up call that we aren't anywhere near where we need to be and the Brentford home game where I'm sure he didn't use his subs as a form of protest to the board, first game of the season just about every other club would use their full quota of subs, Brentford bring on fresh legs who have an impact, Rodgers stands arms folded "I've got players I didn't want to still be here on my bench, I'm not using them," stubbornness.

I preferred contempt (able)

Because this seasons

# lack of learning.

#Not understanding his (given) squad

    needs..

# being fearfull of playing to his team's

   strengths of FFoot football,especially

When at seasons begin,we didn't have

    a good defensive CB pairing.

### after new year basically solved

        our defensive roles..but couldn't

get our midfield syncing or on

       Frontfoot. & Just simple basic

       performance inadequacies..

He seemed furious that instead of focusing on keeping the ball harmlessly in our own half for long periods the players had instead focused on a bizarre strategy of trying to kick it between the two posts into that big netty thing at the end of the pitch!

This is sort of my way of thinking...

Let players plus caretaker managers & coaches unlock & set up Escape latch.

Then Potchettino or like come in early, after season end...

I do believe Poch, would be the right man for this job...plus help to keep a couple of our stars...

Maddison captain is he stays,KDH vice captain..

Ricardo if Maddison goes...

If I could see & trust with a decent PL squad a stable consistent KDH,then he would be my captain on a total from scratch rebuild..

& Push Kristiansen vice captain.

One that went under the radar was losing 1-0 away to Norwich in 19/20 where we were thoroughly outplayed.

They went on to lose the next 11 games and had lost the 2 matches prior, we were the only game they got points from in their last 14 games!

Not the worst game but Roma away annoyed me the most. 1-0 down after the first leg and we were setup for a 0-0  Baffling.

Exactly my pick, it was atrocious.Even in injury time when desperate for a goal we were still playing it across the back.

We didn't even have a go in the last 20 vs arsenal though. Just rolled over and let them have their way. It was the easiest game of football any of their players will ever play in.

The infamous Bournemouth defeat. Legia Warsaw away.

That Bournemouth game was the first real sign of issues with the mentality. And the manner of it topped anything else.

Bournemouth and Spurs collapses stand out and obviously the Forest games.

The recent Arsenal one was horrible despite them being top of the league. Palace at the weekend was almost impossible to not sack him for

Plenty of shite performances. Bournemouth capitulation was the worst I think and cost us big time. Yes we've had success since then but that was the biggest opportunity to finish top 4 and could have shaped our future.

Hugely disappointing against Slavia and whilst Rome away is hardly an easy game, it was disappointing we never had a go.
