adejo92 Posted 25 April 2023 Posted 25 April 2023 I have been very underwhelmed at Tete but Smith definitely seems to see something in him. He's not really performed since his debut however i did think he played with a bit more confidence against Wolves, albeit wasn't exactly stand out. I am hoping that now he's given more freedom, and some more game time, he'll grow in confidence and show his worth. I don't doubt there is a good player in there, perhaps just needs bringing out. It's not like he joined at a great time in the season given our league position, style of play & performances.
Lionator Posted 25 April 2023 Posted 25 April 2023 You can just tell Dean wants to make public some of the crap Brendan has left him with but he hasn’t as of yet. 2
trabuch Posted 25 April 2023 Posted 25 April 2023 It's also nice having a manager who doesn't make you want to throw things at the TV when he's interviewed. 1
Jobyfox Posted 25 April 2023 Posted 25 April 2023 I’m definitely nervous about Soumare and Tielemans starting together. Not much bite in that midfield. Mind you it’s got to the stage where I’m nervous about anything!
iancognito Posted 25 April 2023 Posted 25 April 2023 Surprised he went with Nacho over Vardy after how he's been bigging him up in interviews. But that lineup is probably our strongest (Soumare needs a repeat of his 2nd half v Wolves) depending on who you want sitting next to Youri. A win would be massive for the season and huge before Everton 1

Also it hasn't really been that team, Youri out for months, Iversen benched for a national league keeper and Soyuncu left out in the wilderness. 1

I’m sure he doesn’t care what Bodgers did or didn’t do. I bet he’s delighted to inherit a squad of capable players who for one reason or another have been alienated by the previous boss. Smith is more than competent enough to use that in his favour, offer them a clean slate and an arm around the shoulder, and reap the dividends on the pitch. Let’s hope that goes in our favour, results wise, this evening. 1

I got an official reply, saying they would tell the presenters the correct way to pronounce his name. It's not fckin difficult, is it? 1
