No mention of the fans?

I thought Rodgers told us it was the heat’s problem. We should blame that ….. right!?

I personally think that the players are getting off lightly in this thread. I'd say their share of the blame is a lot bigger than 5 or even 15%. Most of them are totally spineless. I guess people are thinking that Rodgers set them up to fail but let's face it they've screwed up a load of winnable matches even after his departure.

70% Rodgers for systematically destroying any team chemistry and belief of our players through shoddy tactics and abysmal player management, and for continuously selecting players that should be nowhere near the Starting XI.

20% Board for club mismanagement, ludicrous wage contracts, taking out loans that essentially bank on our survival, and twiddling their thumbs whilst Rodgers was allowed to run the club his way. This could really hurt us financially long-term.

10% Players just for the sheer lack of innovation, desire and hunger. Some just don't care. Rodgers' tactics may have been counterproductive, but surely there is enough talent in that squad on an individual level to earn more points than we have.

It’s hard to proportion blame realistically. It’s been a slow rot. It’s not just the men’s team, the women’s team, U21s are all a mess.

Simple changes over the course of our stay in the Premier League. Puel actually managed to reset the club after Claudio seemingly undid the previous good work by Pearson.

* Incoming players aren’t of the same ability as those that have left, however are on high wages. Letting those run contracts down and not being sold is again, criminal.

* Poor mentality, didn’t Ranieri get rid of our psychology team? Was this ever replaced?

* Rodgers was all about him and clearly alienated players. A tactical mess defensively and his stubbornness to play players that most wouldn’t play in an inferior league was akin to sabotage.

* Indecisiveness by the board in pulling the trigger on Rodgers.

* Reliance and negligence by the club and lack of investment as a whole to replace aging or inadequate players.

* We might have one of the best train grounds and facilities in the world, however it’s pointless if those teaching are clowns.

* Mentality and arrogance of players, almost like the believe they are too good to go down.

* Some have cited the expansiveness of the training ground and it not keeping the squad in close contact.

* The supporters are disengaged. The club is out of touch with the fans by doing dumb stuff like fogging a dead horse with the reduced kits in one of our worst ever seasons. This lies solely with the retail and marketing team.

* We lack total leadership on and off the pitch it appears.

80% rudkin for allowing Rodgers free reign

19% top for giving Rodgers a ridiculous contract and letting rudkin make decisions

1% Rodgers as we knew what we were getting and he needed reigning in

Can I be the first to blame Ayoze Perez?

He’d walk into our team now! But I guess players become better when they’re on the bench or gone?

I genuinely believe they’ve all been in it together.

Top has been apathetic, not even imagining we could get relegated.

Rudkin is up Top’s arris so has told him whatever he wanted to hear.

Whelan has just gone AWOL

And Rodgers has done his bare minimum, uninterrupted, ‘earning’ his million ish quid every month whilst everyone rallied around him because ‘he’s an elite manager’.

I genuinely think it’s been borne out of:

1. Apathy.

2. A disbelief that we could could go down and

3. An almost nepotistic culture where they’ve sat like fat cats living on previous achievements.

As I wrote before, some organisations do this. Due to closing ranks and ineffective leadership, they fail to develop and to move with the times. And as I also wrote LAST season, it was clear that change was needed and it had to be freshened up.

Unfortunately the chickens have come home to roost.
What it WONT be down to are the finishing touches. Like getting rid of psychologists and the training ground being built. They are all red herrings and a smokescreen around a much bigger picture. That’s pretty much always the case.

33.3% for the board for extending Rodgers contract after he only just signed one and not sacking him sooner.

33.3% for Rodgers terrible recruitment, management and trying to get sacked all season

33.3% for the players for running down contracts, individual errors and lack of effort.

It's been a collective effort well done to everyone involved.
