Could not disagree more. What this clubs needs is not a Scott Parker who falls out with everyone and plays negative football. That sounds toxic before he even starts! Mad comment.

What we need is to win games and get back to the Premier League, you have no idea how Parker will set the side up, Christ, we only have half a team at present

I didn't. To suggest anyone of our defenders from 15/16 booted it in the channels is nonsense

At what point did I mention defenders? As a team we made a decision to use a tactic that involved as putting the ball in the channels more often than not and it paid dividends. I'm not sure what the problem is???

My problem is I think you doing the team a great discredit because they rarely did that.

Ok, the video of all our goals scored in 15/16 I just watched on Youtube suggests otherwise, but let's agree to disagree shall we

Mate all he's saying is we played balls over the top to Vardy and it worked. He's not saying we hoofed it into oblivion or were Wimbledon circa 1994. We were hardly Man City were we, we were among the lowest for average possession. What we did was just really effective.

please be maresca just so that it’s not parker or smith. I just want some excitement back.

Even if it goes to shit… well at least enjoy the summer with him in charge. With parker all my hope will be gooooooone

One positive I see about Enzo is that he might have a couple of gems he might know about at Man City he could bring with him. Or at worse, we might get a couple of decent loans from them..

Spot on! We found a way that worked and suited the players we had, it wasn't blind hoof ball, it was calculated, accurate balls into the channels when necessary

At some point they have to make an announcement, when the season ended I kinda expected this...

Instead we got this....

Reckon the board will comprise and appoint Frank Haise.

No one posted anything negative about him yet!  Actually nobody's posted anything about him yet 😂

Lens finished second, so seems pretty much impossible that he's coming here

50% win rate at Lens is not to sniffed at to be fair

It's classed as a fantastic pass and fawned over when Man City do it, albeit they do it rarely because it's not the way to play football  but they find a way to win.

Anyone else does it and it's considered "hoof ball" or "booted up field".

Them the rules.

This is one of the biggest managerial appointments in our history. Get it wrong and the consequences could be very serious. As it happens I do think they’re trying to be thorough and explore every available option before deciding. However I also wonder if there are different views among board members about who we should go for, and that these discussions may be partly influenced by fan reactions to leaked names. The last thing they’ll want to do is make an appointment that immediately makes the mood among the fans even worse.

ie - they felt parker could do a job and leaked it only to find that almost no one is excited by the idea.

Just a guess. But given the toxicity of last season, we really need an appointment that brings some excitement and positivity back. Parker has a half-decent CV, but his brand of football and personality seems to have made him thoroughly disliked among the fans of all three clubs he’s managed. He would be a deeply divisive appointment, and I don’t think that’s what the club needs right now.
