These players have proved multiple times that it’s not in them to rise to the occasion. There’s a long list of examples but I’ll start with Forest away in the FA Cup.

I’d say apart from Vardy, Dewsbury Hall, Ricardo and Iverson the rest are absolutely rotten mentality wise.

Agree with this but do think it’s harsh to leave Nacho out of the players you have listed at the end. He has pulled us through situations numerous times.

Possibly Cags too as he has looked good since he was brought back in and seems to care given he is off. But then he did have the Bournemouth meltdown so he has form for not coping with the occasion!

I've never felt less confident about winning a football game as tonight. Rodgers was useless by the end but at least we could pass the ball and it was almost entertaining. Since Smith has taken over we've deteriorated, we don't even look a threat anymore, it's become embarrassing.

It's a definite

NO

Tonight’s the night for those lads who pull on the foxes shirt to become fully together before they leave the dressing room, Fuch what’s gone on before they have 2 chances of helping this club stay in the premier league so let’s hope they pull their thumbs out of their Ar5es and play like they’ve not played in a long time together they have the skills to win this but will they I bloody hope so !!

They haven't done it all season, do you really expect them to do it now!.  They can do it and they can deliver a performance but the odds are they won't. Most will be wondering where they will be playing next season. They need to show grit, determination and a willingness to get a result. Can you really see that happening!.

It’s this level of misplaced hope (that gets in the way of reason) that builds up on the day of a game that ultimately kills you.

We’re ****ing useless, evidently some players don’t care, we have such a soft mentally, we make individual errors on demand, our key players are markedly worse than they were 2 years ago… and we need to win the last two games. There’s more chance of Elvis being found alive on Mars.

I feel much better for accepting that it’s over and look forward to getting these clowns out the door so we can reset in the Championship.

A large part of the blame must be down to the owners management while the players should take some criticism we should get behind them for these last two games regardless

This team are capable, there is quality in there but we have barely seen it this season. For the past however many games I wondered if that quality team will turn up and show everyone they can do it. Pretty much every game they haven't.

I am hoping they turn up tonight because we need to and have the chance. Whether they finally will, all you can do is hope and believe.

This! The players are more than capable of beating anyone in the league - but they don't care enough to ever try.

Everyone has written us off and the odds are rightly stacked against us. We all know that a lot of players will leave regardless at the end of the season and we will look a different proposition next season.

These players have delivered for the club in the past and there is a route for survival, no matter how unlikely it looks. Can they rise to the occasion??

Do you really need to ask this?

Sadly there have lots of chances in the last month +, Liverpool at home & Newcastle were always the games we were likely to lose.

Haven't seen the highlights yet but if Everton had lost Saturday, then if we won this Sunday they had to win, but that goal means they now have the draw.

Don't actually see how that team/squad since Christmas can win against that team tonight, probably not even get a draw.

But c'mon Foxes prove me wrong, gambling on a Newcastle sending off in the first 10, then again we couldn't beat Chelsea in August.

Its the hope that kills, common sense makes you believe you're down, but whilst its mathematically unproven you're still dancing at last chance saloon:(

Absolutely not.

Having watched Newcastle a couple of times, the are a very physical team. They are aggressive, dirty and will do what they need to to win.

We can't handle that.

I was thinking about the most aggressive team we could put out to combat them and honestly, the only player I could think of that had that in their game was Vardy. Everyone else is soft and will crumble under their pressure.

I've been looking for that cup game where Vontae Campbell played with like Amarty and N'didi and maybe Mendy at the back. It was when the squad was full of injuries, all hope was lost. They played like their lives depended on it. Just want to see 10% of that, think we drew or sneaked the win but it was the effort the boys put in that showed through.

I can both get behind them but also think we’re toast. I don’t think the two are mutually exclusive

Joking aside, these are the same players who won a FA cup and had us consistently competing for Europe for 3 seasons. Yes things are different now but they've proven they are capable in the past!!
