Not quite sure what my emotions are gonna be like on Sunday. It's the first time I'd have been in the ground to confirm relegation/survival on the final day.

I was not at the Stoke or Charlton games.

Win and we may stay up, anything else and we're instantly down.

The same for a number of us I imagine?

Course not!

Ive been following City for nearly 50 years. Through play offs, relegations, promotions, administration, was nearly ever present at all the games in League 1.

Little, Martin, Taylor etc etc…

This is a huge game but it’s just one of a roller-coaster ride of being a Leicester fan.

Anyone over mid 40s has got their battle scars, big time. I wasn't at most of these bit the wounds are deep; Harlow, Oxford away in the 80s, Ipswich away prior to the Oxford great escape, play off final defeats, McGhee, Wycombe, Taylor, Wolves away 4-3, Bankruptcy,  Sheff Weds at home (that was worse than the stile game), Deeney, Forest away last season

I was explaining to my eldest last night tho, eventually, things will go well again and you end up looking at those bad times almost fondly. Those bad times become an anecdote in the good times.

Was at Stoke. Like tomorrow, was already pretty much resigned to our fate but that doesn’t make it any easier.

Just remembered how tight it was down at the bottom really, didn't Southampton escape the last spot by beating a Sheffield United side who at the start of play could of made the playoffs with a win.

Of course, it was Pearson who steered saints to safety that day and was then rewarded with relegation with us!

Funny old game

I was at Stoke and much like this game I'd accepted our fate before hand, anything else is a bonus.

This has been coming since August, I'd be much more nervous for a one off cup final.

The emotions and nerves are very dependent on whether it's actually in your own hands ... no matter how easy (or difficult) the tasks is.

Newcastle Utd (1986) and Oxford Utd (1991) were nerve wracking, because it was out of our hands.   We could've won both games 10-0 and still gone down.    As it was, we won our games and fortunately Ipswich Town (1986) and West Brom (1991) slipped up, so we were safe.

Stoke City (2008) was a much harder task ... away to a team that needed a point for automatic promotion ... but I felt more relaxed about the game, because it was in our hands.   It was only really the last 5-10 minutes that it was slipping away beyond hope.   And the last 2 minutes were awful, as we couldn't even get the ball out of our own half.

Filbert Street 2001 for me. I think we had to beat Manchester United but lost 1-0. There was a beautifully haunting moment about 5 minutes from the end of time where every single person in the crowd was on their feet singing Stand Up If You Love Leicester. Truly unforgettable.

And we’re going down in 5 minutes

Weirdly the Tony James game was probably a year too early for me. The Little era is when I first started going to virtually every game. Until then it was just what and when we could afford and we couldn't get an Oxford ticket for love nor money. Dozens since then, Stoke was worst because it was away.

I'll be honest, tomorrow is the biggest - certainly in our modern - history. Go down and I think we're gone for years. The Championship is more cut throat than ever and when teams like Luton and Cov are joining the party you see what we're up against even trying to get back.

Fan since the early 80s so 6 relegations (I think) during that time, by far the worst was Stoke down to League 1. If it happens tomorrow it'll be looked back on as a relegation season that lacked fight and effort, led by idiots off the field, with no leaders on it.

Watching City since the early 90s, no, horrible when it goes against you but great when it goes in your favour but there's always another time unless the unthinkable happens.

Worked out today that I’ve never actually been in a stadium while we have been relegated.

Didnt have a season ticket first season in the prem, stopped having one for the last season at Filbo and wasn’t at Stoke.

But first do or die? Absolutely not.

Not first do or die,  but I wasn’t at Stoke or Charlton. Will be giving it our all in the stands tomorrow, just hope them lads on the pitch do the same for the final (or first time ) this season.
