First title for a long time in dramatic fashion but when when its like your forth title in a row... meh its embarrassing. Dont imagine celtic invading the pitch if theyve won the title for 13th time in a row. Celtic fans have spent the weekend chewing up Glasgow so I'm not sure about this.
Sir Shep Posted 19 May 2024 Posted 19 May 2024 I’m remembering how players like Inler went up and collect their medals despite contributing chuff all.

Mike Oxlong Posted 19 May 2024 Posted 19 May 2024 Year on year with one notable exception the title race is really who comes top of three/four teams. More exciting than Scotland though I guess where it is consistently a one horse race.
Koke Posted 19 May 2024 Posted 19 May 2024 Pep hot a stranglehold on this league. His closest competitor (Klopp) is gone. Until Pep leaves, nothing will change. 1
lcfcsnow Posted 19 May 2024 Posted 19 May 2024 Is it just us that allows all the players families and friends on the pitch on the final day? Liverpool have let a select few on but only after most of the fans have left and after the players went round themselves. 1

copunk Posted 19 May 2024 Posted 19 May 2024 Disaster for Sky today with the title pretty much wrapped up by halftime, we know how much they try to stir up drama but as others have said everything was more or less tied up before a ball was kicked 1
FrankieADZ Posted 19 May 2024 Posted 19 May 2024 jesus all you see is arsenal and liverpool fans etc posting 115 to anything city related, If said teams didnt fudge up during the season against the likes of Fulham and Palace, City would have had a hard time winning the league

The apparently compelling title race saw the eventual champions win their last nine, the closest game being by two goals and weren't behind in a match since early April. The bottom three all finished with fewer points than our awful 2002 team and, without points deductions, there was a 10-point gap between 17th and 18th. Everyone below 7th had a negative goal difference. 2
Muzzy_no7 Posted 19 May 2024 Posted 19 May 2024 Crystal Palace managing to finish top half tells us everything we need to know about the lack of quality in that league this season.

RumbleFox Posted 19 May 2024 Posted 19 May 2024 Is football objectively less interesting these days? Or are we just old?

Man Utd used to dominate, they three peated twice. I don't remember people saying the league is boring back then. I understand MCFC and their 115 charges, but in my opinion the the quality of football is better now, its just a different team dominating. Less of Bolton, Stoke, WBA. More of Brighton, Wolves, Bournemouth. The latter 3 are far more aesthetically pleasing. 3

I used to like the faster pace to football. 1
