Premier League Thread 2023/2024

Problem is that this insanity will go unpunished - in every sense - because they're one of the internationally popular six.

More cash awash through them and no real regulation because it keeps the Premier League popular in the right markets.

They won't be allowed to fail.

Might be unpopular but I'd actually give Ten Haag 1 more season. Arteta finished 8th twice in a row when he first came.

Thing is Ten Haag spent a lot more money than Arteta did over first two seasons.

Ten Hag didn't spend anything, neither did Arteta for that matter. They're Head Coaches, not directors or heads of recruitment.

It's pretty obvious that whoever manages United, the playing staff are the biggest problem there, they've recruited absolute trash with more ego than talent for a decade.

Ten Hag's Ajax were superb and he'll probably recover from this to have a good career but replacing him is pointless without gutting the squad and pretty much starting again.

Maybe Poch has agreed to be England manager when Southgate leaves

An Argentinian managing England? No chance. He'd never be able to return to his home country if he took that job.

I will be happy for him to continue managing them, although I would expect him to get sacked at some point during next season.  Seems a square peg in a round hole there.

Early optimism is being deflated at Ipswich. McKenna is going to refuse a new contract  and is keen on a move now whilst his stock is high.

had an Ipswich lad on Facebook tell me they were nailed on top 5 in the prem this season and fight to win it the season after.

id love to have a chat with him about this..

So Liverpool, Chelsea, rumoured Man United will all have new managers next season

Chelsea have made themselves look right mugs, whilst Liverpool and Man Utd will be going through a new transition period this was Chelsea opportunity to capitalise on their good form towards the end of the season build on the momentum and make a push for the top four. Instead they will put themselves for yet another transition with a manager who may not like the players and look to move some on.
