I think 8/9 wins from our last 18 will be enough for the top 2, provided we pick up draws along the way. Realistically i think we’ll win 11/12.

Been looking at our fixtures and up until Leeds away its:

Swansea H

Stoke A

Watford A

Sheff W H

Boro H

Real chance to go on another winning run now.

If you look further our last 8 games of the season are against teams currently

13th, 8th, 20th, 18th, 15th, 5th, 12th, 17th

Only 8 wins out of 18 takes us to 90 points!! Crazy really. You’d expect us to win more than that though

Funnily enough I have just looked at us having an average spell and what that actually means. By average I am thinking something around:

8W 5D 5L

We finish on 95 points. Ipswich would need 36 from their last 18 matches and Southampton 37 from their last 18 matches.

That would mean both Ipswich and Southampton putting runs together of:

W12 D1 L5

OR

W11 D4 L3

Ipswich can have one less draw.

If we have an above average return, both Ipswich and Southampton would have to almost go unbeaten until the end of the season with mostly wins.

The pressure is on us really. I don't think we carry any fear factor and teams aren't worried to play us because they know they'll have chances in the second half. It's all become a bit predictable and that is a cause for concern

I still hope we have the quality to see it over the line but it'll be an uncomfortable watch at times no doubt

Don't agree with that. We are in the driving seat. The pressure is on the chasers to better our results at least 3 times while never being worse than us.

Said this to my mates yesterday, every game we win from now, the chasers have to win just to keep in touch. In fact, to better us they have to keep winning and hope we drop points.

If we get to a point (which I don't think we will) where both Ipswich and Southampton have overtaken us, then yes, the pressure is on us.

I'd posted before that losing against top 4 teams, drawing with those to 9th, and winning the rest would have had us on 105, after yesterday that would put it at 106. Matching results from respective games this season would have us finishing on 109. Would take a pretty sizeable drop off for us not to break 100 points.

Why are Leeds playing tomorrow?

Imagine it’s their game that should’ve been played Saturday?

It’s the fixture rearranged with them being in the cup. They’re playing a week earlier than our game v Swansea.

At a guess, it’s because they’re away at Bristol City next Friday. Tuesday/Wednesday maybe not enough time?

Most re-arranged fixtures seem to be Tuesday 20th February. As Leeds vs Leicester is the Friday, maybe they gave us the option to play the game around the FA Cup weekend (less pressure on squads as likely rotating in cup games anyway). Plus the points you make. I would imagine FA Cup replays could be w/c 5th February as well.

The Swansea game is massive for us. We will get a head start on Ipswich and Southampton. If we beat Swansea, we will be 10 and 11 points, respectively, ahead of them. They will have to wait until 20th February to make up that lost game.

Leeds drop points tonight :yesyes:

I don't think they will. They are much better at home & Norwich aren't great away.

Not sure Hull, Bristol and WBA are tricky games.

Leeds start games like an absolute freight train, particularly at home. I've said before I think they are too inconsistent, but I'm full of shit at the best of times.
