Castagne being players player couldn't be more of a joke.

The player who is so dumb that he is always a yard behind the rest of the backline playing the strikers onside and to compound his mistake, attempts to make the recovery run whilst waving his arms around in the air akin to the wacky waving inflatable tube man to call for offside when the lino won't flag due to VAR.

Fair enough if Kel has actually won it. Speaks volumes as to how bad the rest of the players were. 

 

Shocked that Castagne won players player. Thought that would be Maddison nailed on.

Maybe he was the most focal in finally getting rid of Rodgers. He is supposed to have approached the board. Thanks from the players 🤫😉🫢😆

Odd that there's no mention of the award being voted for by the fans, as previous years...;)

 

2016: Algerian maestro Riyad Mahrez took the top prize at Leicester City’s 2015/16 Season Awards after being crowned Player of the Season by the Club’s supporters.

2017: Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was named Player of the Season by the Club’s supporters at Leicester City’s 2016/17 Season Awards.

2018: While Harry Maguire’s peers in the City changing room voted for the Players’ Player of the Season prize, the Player of the Season award was decided by a healthy margin of votes from the Blue Army.

2019: Ricardo was named Player of the Season – voted for by the Blue Army – and Players’ Player of the Season.  

2020: Jamie Vardy is voted as the Football Club’s 2019/20 Player of the Season by Leicester City supporters.

2021: Youri Tielemans voted 2020/21 Player of the Season by the Club’s supporters.

2022: Maddison said: "I’m very happy, very humbled. I want to say thank you to every fan who voted for me.

I can only presume that the club realised that naming the actual votes winner, Smithies, might not be the best of ideas.

Nothing for Amartey ... or are we still waiting for a few awards to be announced ..... Awards ffs ....they need to stop digging now the hole they are in is big enough

Timothy Castagne - Players Player of the Season

 

Can't help but think every player received one vote and the other two Belgian lads voted for Castagne. He's been abysmal since his first game away at West Brom, a nothing player.
