Nacho in the Champ would be ridiculous. I'm talking Championship equivalent of Haaland. The guy would score 20 goals a season in the Prem if actually played for the full season. Considering the last 3 seasons, Akpom, Solanke, and Armstrong all hit close to 30 goals, I think you're looking at around 40 from Nacho as he's miles ahead of all 3 of them lot.

Daka is an unknown. Could and should be absolutely prolific. The only question mark for me is how he'll cope with the physicality of the league as he's looked less than light weight up until now so I'd be intrigued to see how he gets on.

A bit moot given it’s incredibly unlikely Nacho plays for us again

1 year left. Been here 6 years already. Always been undervalued and underplayed.

Any savvy PL team would be looking at him, so we will receive offers.

He’s only got 1 year left so we’d need to sell him this season if he doesn’t extend, and why would he sign on when we can only offer him less money and no guarantee of PL football anytime soon?

He's one of a few players I'd risk losing on a free to try and help us get straight back up. Cash in on most, but we need to keep some quality. I can obviously see him leaving though

I think anyone predicting that any of our players would tear it up in the championship is going to be disappointed - if our team is still full of spineless pushovers Iheanacho and Daka (if they're still here) will be running around in no man's land

Has anyone here seriously replying with a 30+ answer ever seen the Championship? It's not Sunday League. It's filled with nearly men, journeymen, and youth team dropouts who want a second stab at being Prem hotshots. The clubs in there next season are like an EPL2 league.

I've seen enough of Daka to know he isn't suited to the English game. After two full seasons he still gets bullied by full backs let alone centre backs. **** him off to Brighton or back to Austria or wherever but we can't go another 46 games waiting for his "potential" to win us matches. Nacho would be an assist King more than a goalscorer but I think he's going to find himself at Brentford or West Ham or somewhere like that.

Wish the bloody season would start to stop all these fecking stupid threads where people expect us to be bloody mystic fecking meg!

Thanks. This was a redundant thread from the moment the author put digit to keyboard. It assumes so many potentially redundant outcomes that it's not worth speculation. Serious and essential work needs doing to replace the midfield before next season starts...not to say City need a capable manager for starters.

If Kelechi even stays fans could consider that eventuality fortunate.  Close the thread, ffs.

Think nacho will leave , can’t see him not getting picked up by a EPL side . Daka I would let go after two seasons the bloke has been useless . We need a centre forward who can whole the ball up and bring players into the game , daka can’t even stand up by himself

Can see Brentford coming in for Nacho with the Toney situation. He would do well there and is guaranteed to start the first half the season. I can also see him and Toney up front together. I don’t want this to happen but it’s just what I expect.

Daka will stay though. He’s not impressed anyone.

There are some big assumptions being made here. Firstly that Championship sides will be a walkover. Second that our depleted midfield will provide enough service to our strike force.

Are you also making an assumption that we won't reinforce our midfield with some new signings? We don't need players to be as good as Maddison or Tielemans in the championship, just players that are good at that level. Ideally we'd sign players championship ready that could have the potential to do well in the prem as well. Easier said than done though I know.

I am making no assumptions at all, which is why I'm not making weird predictions about how many goals our forwards (who may not even stay with the club) will score in the Championship.

Obviously like most here I want the team to do well and our forwards to score plenty of goals. But until we see what our team is comprised of, I'm not predicting a thing. Let's see what the summer brings, and hope better decisions are made compared to last year.

Do people just forget about actually watching Daka? No physicality, hasn’t shown anywhere near the pace we were lead to believe he had.

Yes, he can finish but doesn’t bring anything in an all round game and doesn’t offer a focal point to the attack like we’ve had with Vardy.

Sell Daka, probably release Vardy unless he takes a HUGE pay cut and do whatever we can to somehow sign Iheanacho to a new deal. Sign a striker for Kel to play behind and we’ll do a lot better. Daka has never looked good playing with Kel and we should just try sell him whilst we can. A huge mistake a long with the others we’ve made.

People really underestimating the league. Shame to see. It’s not filled with quality but the players won’t get time on the ball.

There have been a lot of good strikers in the Championship that haven’t touched 20+ goals.

It's the same with half the threads created on the board over the last month, there's about 3 for Vardy retiring or not plus his own thread. Needs some mods to get enforcing thread discipline.

Would Daka be able to play without falling over at least 10 times a half?

Absolutely not. More physical division so unless he turns up from pre season having pumped himself full of steroids and eaten 5 cows a day he will likely be worse.

What would be the point in releasing Vardy? We'd still have to pay his full year's wage so may as well make use of him
